Mother's Day
Thank goodness for "Hallmark" celebrations, otherwise I'd never see my daughters.
Crying constantly, miss my Beloved Pat more and more, at nearly 26 months.

Our beloved husbands were truly our \'better halves\'. The world without them at our sides is a \'strange and foreign\' place indeed.
My heart goes out to you. It is the memories of the love and friendship we had with our spouses/best friends which must sustain us. My husband died in 2003 during my final week of chemotherapy for advanced stage three colon cancer where I was the one the doctors were helping me to prepare for my possible death. Even today the love my husband had for me sustains my life as I have been left to cope with disability in a society that values money but has no issue with leaving a disabled person alone, ill and for dead. It is my husband\'s love and care of me that sustains me to this very day. I never would have been able to even imagine this reality and to have survived it for almost ten years while ill in bed most of the time -- I am left amazed.
Allow the memories of the love Pat had for you to fill your life to overflowing and take comfort in those cherished memories. I suppose knowing there are many people who never achieve the love we shared with our spouses should help some. Adjusting to reality without such love in our lives is overwhelmingly painful beyond belief All I know is we must take what comfort there is in our cherished memories and let go of what is inflicting pain on us today and try to achieve the best lives possible as that is what your Pat and my Bob would have wanted for us.
Gentle ((hugs)) of understanding shared.
:-) Patricia
