I am broken.
Pat, I love you more than life. You will always be in my heart, I thank God for getting you thru surgery so we were able to tell you how much we love you and that we will always love you. You gave me all of your love, and I felt that every single day. Who else can say they knew before their first date that they would marry, and have their engagement ring after 9 days! Ours was a whirlwind love story and I thank God I had you for the short time I did. We have 2 wonderful and amazing daughters that have chosen men so much like you, what better compliment could you have. I wanted to take your pain away, I wanted to make you better, I really tried, and I know you are greatful for my help, you told me often enough. You are not in pain now nor are you suffering. Bet you are eating Mum's devilled egg sandwiches, of course always with a pickle on the side. We are taking comfort too, that you chose your day, St Patricks Day!
We will be ok, not for a long long time, but we are going to be ok, and I know you know that or you wouldn't have left us. I know too that you fought so damn hard to stay. You are at peace now my Darling. I will love you forever, as will your girls, including your 4 legged girl.
