We finally "buried" him. Ashes are in an urn, in the ground, with a tiny headstone. We then took a shot of some honey vanilla tequila and released 10 shiny blue (Bryan's favorite color) star balloons into the sky. Bryan's daughter wrote him a letter and tied it to the end of her balloons string to float up to heaven for her Dad to read. It was a beautiful little memorial and I cried a lot. We then went out for pie and talked a while. Bryan's daughter ended up coming over to my house to spend the night and hang out with my daughter. It was so nice having her over. I hadn't seen her, for that long of a period of time, since the funeral. She reminds me so much of him in every possible way. I missed her and hope I can see her more often. She was my kid too for the past 3 years. It hurts losing both of them and the dog. Sometimes life can just be cruel. One thing gets taken away and it feels like your whole life turns upside with that one thing. It's been hard and I know it's going to get harder before it gets better.
