PAH

I saw the chest doc today he says I have PAH he showed me the ct scan and showed me how one artery was practically twice the size of the other .He is going to get things moving fast with an appointment at Papworth which is a leading heart specialist centre .He said they would do the right hand sided cath test and he was arranging for something which sounded like transoesophageal test where they put a camera down your throat to your heart I didn't even know that was possible . I have had endoscopy previous but this goes further. Crikey none of these tests am I looking forward to if that is the right words understatement to say the least . So he tells me the pressure is backing up to my liver great I am thinking all I need oh and also it's a rare condition but he is going to make sure that they don't hold on to me too long at the hospital but get me to the specialist unit . Good Lord beam me up Scotty I'm trying to fight off being a lab rat too.
Reading up on PAH is no fun either I should have asked what stage am I st but I'm getting the feeling he is holding off giving me a definite diagnosis as he says they have to find out the cause he mentions iliminating hole in the heart which I was thinking was only congenital but apparently not
Looks like no chance of getting private health care now and holiday insurance will rocket
Crikey I've booked myself on a Carribean cruise 4 months ago for Christmas I'm determined to go I may be taking an oxygen tank now by the sound of things . I now have a picture of one of those ninja turtles in my head. Oh how dramatically amI think I'll get some rest it's too tiring to analyse .
