Hi all,I will be responding to you personally tomorrow, but tonight I am sending the latest update that I wrote to everyone.  Thought you might like to read it, and then tomorrow we can "talk".  Love you!TheresaMay 1rst, 2009Happy May Day!Once more I greet you all, my dear friends and family,I am home for the weekend to refresh and relax.  I made it through another week, and now I only have 6 treatments left!  I am very happy about that, and hope that I never have to do this again.  But I am also realistic, as I see that many of the people at Hope Lodge are "repeats" and I understand that cancer is like a weed that does not want to die.  But I do not feel depressed or worried at all.  I completely trust God in the fact that where ever I am, I am meant to be, not for myself, but for His purpose, and that is fine with me.  I have asked Him to make me healthy and free of every cancer cell,  but I am also ok with whatever His will for me is.  I understand cancer much more now, than before, and this is what I must share with you:THE SOONER YOU DETECT IT, THE BETTER.  THE SOONER  YOU FIND IT, THE EASIER THE TREATMENT WILL BE.  THE SOONER  YOU TREAT IT, THE BETTER CHANCE  YOU HAVE OF SUCCESS.So the lesson is, if you need a checkup, don't be scared.  Just get it done, and know that you have done everything you can to take care of your own health.  We can't control everything, but we can do what we know, and we know that we are supposed to get regular checkups for certain things.  And if you have cancer in  your family, make sure your doctor knows and be more diligent.These things are very common facts, but sometimes we need a push, so here is  your push!Now, I am doing fine, thanks only to your prayers.  This last week was the toughest as far as stomach cramps and diareaha, and a migraine thrown in for fun.  But once more God has given me the tools to deal with these things, including the support of others just when I need them.  I am blessed that I live in this time because we know that surgery plus the radiation will give me a 90% success rate.  The surgery was successful because I live in Central Wisconsin near the Marshfield Clinic where the world's best doctors, the latest technology and information are used, and I have access to any medicine I need.  I pray daily that all people with cancer will have the treatment that they deserve.  And I could NEVER give enough credit to the nurses and volunteers and receptionists who make it thier business to make my day as good as it possibly can be.  Every person I deal with on a daily basis is kind and friendly and upbeat.  I do believe that a good attitude works both ways--I expect good and I find good waiting for me.  Sorry to make this so long, but it seems I have more to say as this process goes along.  And I am getting responses from many of you that you appreciate my updates, and I hope that you will never need the information, but if you do, maybe something here will help.So now I am going to enjoy the rest of my night, and sleep long tomorrow morning.  So please don't call and wake me up!Thank you again for your support and prayers, and I send my love to you all.Theresa
