Hi Everybody,I am once more sending out a "form letter" since I am having a time trying to get to the computer during the week. I realized that when I come home for the weekends I intend to catch up to everything, but all I do is rest because I'm so tired. It hit me last night that I'm supposed to be tired, so I'm SUPPOSED to rest! How silly we are, always trying to do things even in a health crisis!Right now I am packing up for the week again, but wanted to update you as I could. So, this is what I sent out this weekend, and I do intend to personally get with each of you who are giving me hugs and messages throughout the week after this is all over. I am quickly reading them, and it does bring a smile to my face knowing that you have not forsaken me just because I'm not currently writing.See ya soon especially Jackie, Dodi, and Anne, and you are all in my prayers as well.TheresaToday is April 25th, 2009. I am home once more for my weekend rest. This week I got more sick to my stomach, and started leaning on Imodium for relief. It works excellent, and I only had about three days of bad feeling. I am fortunate that my hubby is staying with me because he comes home daily for lunch and encourages me to go down to the dining room and eat. Despite stomach complaints, you must eat during this time, especially protein. My dear husband is sweet and has been making the lunches, and bringing them to me at the table and then clearing up the dishes. It sounds like a simple thing, but these little things make a huge difference in my recovery. Because when you feel bad, you not only don't want to eat, but you certainly don't want to get up and make the food or clear it away. So God has certainly blessed me with all that I need to get through this time.I only have 11 more days to go! I have met and passed the halfway mark and it's all downhill from here. I cannot recall ever having been so excited to cross off days on my calendar. This experience has really given me an appreciation for my home, my family, my pets, my friends, even enjoying a meal. It has given me time to think about what is important and I can't wait to come home for good and do all the things I've been thinking about. If all goes well, my last treatment will be May 11th, and that is a significant day because it is also my 22nd anniversary! So I am really looking forward to that day, but I think I will skip the fancy dinner for another day. I've been told that it takes about two weeks to return to "normal" after your last treatment. Personally, I don't think I will ever return to where I was in the past, but hope to go forward to a new life. God even gave me a special treat last night of a wonderful Spring thunderstorm with lightening, thunder, and a lovely gentle rain to listen to all night long. This afternoon I went all around our yard snapping pictures of buds just beginning to open on the bushes and trees. I love to watch the progress of Spring, and this year seems especially rich with growth for me.May you all have a great week and I will write again soon.Thank you for your faithfulness in your prayers and support.Love ya!Theresa
