" ... half the people i know are surrounded by babies/grandbabies and "engaged" -- the other half are too drunk to even find their phones."
that is the more permanent version of the same quote from below, and it wouldn't be half i don't think, probably a third to two-thirds? by the time the kids/grandkids are tweens (around age 10) even that stops again, and then the adult looks like they don't know what just hit them. stick with your pets - that really is more permanent, and let's be honest a lot cheaper.
seriously not okay right now. my lips are numb and cold. not feeling too great. ate leftover meat loaf. over a week. thought it would be okay. guess not. took a tums and it helped a little and yogart (milk neutralizes poison), but still feel awful.
cleaned out paperwork from my purse -- so much of it, i'm big on writing myself lists and notes. probably had 50 of them in there. lol. found another house for a, if he gets there fast enough, its selling for about 1/3 the price it was bought for in 2007. it came in friday. it looks completely new inside from the photographs. his problem will be his wife because she is set on their moving to this one town ... won't even go on with that one. i have ONE town home in their price range for that area, not as cheap as this other house, nor as large, but possibly a good deal in the historical section somewhere. she likes the schools in that town for their son.
ran into problems with the old guy again at work, who's paperwork says one thing and the real thing is something else completely. he passed his re-train last year, he won't this year. that whole thing is so out of control, i can see why companies have forced retirement. he is doing the never saw that before thing. hmmmm. you have seen it EVERY year AND according to his own paperwork, its DONE every single week by HIM. or how about he is just carrying numbers and words forward from something else and NONE of it is genuine at all. he always says, it won't happen again. does he realize he does this. would love to know what happens to the brain, that makes people like that as they age. exercise and vitamins supposedly fix the brain-mess as well. even yoga, which is pretty mellow. also, falsifying paperwork is "illegal", so why say you did something that you never did? how about just do easier stuff or switch to an easier position or even better let yourself retire and do charity work. bet that guy doesn't do one speck of charity work, now nor when he was young.
s looks like a different person. haven't seen him on line lately and he returned to his home town kind of thing a couple of years ago after divorce, which old wive's tales always say, they are returning to die - animals do that as well. personally, i think its a memory thing, old memories are more in tact than new, so its easier to get around if you are somewhere that you lived when still young. lots of separation and tension at s's house for quite some time. turns out he had congestive heart failure and has an ICD (have no idea what ICD means). he was just released from the hospital and obviously dyed his hair (too dark a color as well by the way, his hair was more sandy with the brown, at least before (though i was looking at the other s the other day, and in the last ten or less years his hair has gone totally WHITE wth?! is it normal to be white haired at 53?) s looks like a different person. i wouldn't have recognized him at all. wth? now, will his real looks come back or what? its that much scarier when its people around your own age that start getting these things. not sure which is scarier when they suddenly die, which has been happening to people i know almost yearly, since 2007 in my life or permanent medical conditions. can't believe he has heart problems, he's a sporty guy. he says he got divorced again because his last wife wants to live care-free and found someone to do that with. he can't do that with health problems and now this. then troubles with his daughter over that as well, so she is gone for now. its hard to understand illness if your health is perfect. illness seems so far away when you are healthy.
succeeded in avoiding the biker maniacs most of the weekend. they are doing the blessing of the bikes at more than one church this year. they also do blessings for pets at churches as well now. and lgbt dances plus yoga classes. nice to see churches keeping up with life as it is instead of life as it once was or once seemed to be.
