I became a Great Aunt today! I guess I should be thrilled though it is hard to be thrilled for my nephew who at 26 now has two children by two different women, hasn't had a job for 4 months because he keeps quitting them, and is doing drugs again... Alas, I digress... I wanted to get it down in my journal that Brooklyn Findlay Steele was born early this morning (? 4 a.m.) weighing in at 4 lbs. 10 oz. She was born about 2 months too early, but she seems to be strong I hear. She's definitely related to Charlie with jet black hair (he is part Cherokee) and she looks just like her brother by the other gal. I will send more info when I get it, and I'm suppose to get a picture at some point... The drama continues...

The idea of becoming a great aunt scares me more than becoming a grandma. It always conjures up a picture of a mad woman with frizzy hair who talks a lot of gibberish, serves you warm lemonade and stale biscuits.......oh, hang on....maybe I\'m ready!

Congrats! sort of!! He sounds like my cousin, Jack. Four different wives and goddess only knows how many children. He is an alcoholic and who knows if he does drugs; probably. His kids are just like him. And another generation of screwed up kids.
Sad to bring kids into that kind of environment. But, would love to see a pix.
my first kid was born 3 months to soon and so sick. Glad to here your nephews kid is doing so well...
My Daughter (now 23) was 6 weeks early and weighed 5lbs 7 ounces. So I can imagine the size. Lisa fitted in the palm of the doctor\'s hand! I will pray for her healthy progress.
