I was very sad to learn some news today.  In Coshocton, a fellow MSer and I started a group we call the Positive Purpose MS Support group.  Earlier this month, we had our Holiday Party at which a new member attended.  Steve was a young 42 yr. old father and attended the party with his son, Steve.  As it was a holiday party, we only got to speak a short time though I knew he was a good guy. Well, in this mornings local paper, I learned that Steve was killed in a fire at his home on Christmas morning.  As I said, I really didn't know him well, but I have so few people in cow country that I know.  It's a shock!  I'm not sure how to think about it, but certainly, it is making me very sad... Right now, I'm awaiting the arrival of my Mom to cart my butt to PA.  I know I'll be in PA for whatever services the family plans for Steve, but I most definitely will send a sympathy card.  I've spread the new via email to the PPMS group as well as the Nat'l MS Society who sponsors us.  The NMSS is closed today, and I don't know if they provide support to the family or not. I guess I just had to write about this to try to put it behind me though I'll talk to my Mom about it on the way to PA.  My heart bleeds for the family as there are several children involved.  Ah, the best of the best always leave during this holiday time.  I truly believe we need their spirits out there to guide us.
