We awoke to the first snowfall of the season, and even though the NOAA left us out of all severe weather predictions, Coshocton Co. in under a Level Two snow emergency. The translation of that: Don't drive if you don't have to (call off work if possible) because out here in the country, it takes forever to get the roads cleaned off! I have shoveled the deck twice already this morning, once in my PJ's so the pups and I could get out for our morning peepee...The big boyz are tucked away in the "condo" today (heated dog house), and "they're not getting up for NOBODY!". As you see, they have terrible grammar, but we love them anyway! I am glad I had the foresight to get the snow shovel out of the big barn yesterday, and I'm actually looking forward to Guy coming home (he says tomorrow) so he can plow the driveway. I'm not sure if the pups and I will try to hike out for the mail as this morning's walk was a bit treacherous. The last thing I need to do is fall and break a leg... That being said, I best slip the cell phone into my pocket so if I do fall and really hurt myself, I can call 911--rather unsettling thought!I'll be spending the day decorating, and I'm hoping to get it all done so that the boxes are back in the barn by evening... Ambitious goal, but at least, it gives me something to do other than continually feed the woodburner. Ugh, I may have to get some more wood as welll... We'll see since that is a monumental task!

Cj it sounds like you\'re going to have a very ambition but fun day. Puleez, if you go out, be careful not to fall. A broken leg is not worth getting the mail. It will be there tomorrow.
Wood is another matter. Gosh, I wish I was there to help you. It scares me to think of you being all alone (besides the pups) out there on the farm. Just take it slooooo girlfriend.

I understand about the wood. I love heat from the woodburner but it can be a lot of work with bringing it up (we put ours into a room of our basement through a window. We have a burner down there and one upstairs too.) and constantly feeding it. But it is worth it!!
We have about 4 inches of snow today too. It\'s fluffy snow! I like that!!
Enjoy and take care - don\'t overdo it and keep the cell phone with you. I\'ve learned to do that too!!
CJ I would love to live where you do I have never seen much snow and I think it would be bliss to have lots of snow and all the supplies you need, just stay locked away for a couple of weeks. But please be careful out walking, maybe Papoo and Fatboy will drag you home if you fall.

do be carefull when u go outside. Broken bones are no fun. Remeber when we heated by wood. I hated it from cutting it to trying to stay warm by it. But would trade you places in a heart beat
