UNCONNECTED, DISJOINTED, CONFUSED...  My Swiss cheese for brains has left me a total Polly Anna this week.  Sure, I forced myself to accomplish a few things: Ran the vacuum, changed the bed, got out the sewing machine and made another pair of sleeping pants (Omar the Tent Maker Pants--nice and big and warm and flannel and cozy and as you might imagine, VERY SEXY not).  So sewing is my new project au jour.  Heck, the sewing machine has been living on the kitchen/dining room table since Sunday.  Now, I just need to get my hands on more flannel--the newest pants were a flannel sheet yesterday...Today, I was making friends with little old ladies in the grocery store.  I have done all my Thanksgiving shopping (which to me is more important than Holiday shopping because cooking and eating are some of my favorite activities).  I spent far too much money, of course, but we will be eating quite well for Turkey Day (and for the entire hunting week after the big day).  I also scored another Honeysuckle White turkey for 29 cents a pound because I spent too much at the local grocery (another Honeysuckle White turkey for 4 bucks was my reward; it will be good for the next Holiday).  Oh, the carnivorous plans I have...  All I can say is YUMBO!I am happy that rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week.  I certainly hope they are not wrong again.  I ran the well dry Sunday doing launtree, I now have 3 more loads to do, and I really hate the idea of going to town to pay to wash it.  I need to really THINK when I do launtree--no flushing, stop after the wash to let the well recover, then rinse.  If I remember to think of these simple rules, it will all be fine.  You know out here in the country, you would think finding a water deviner would be easy.  All I can say is we hit great clean water, but a very slowing producing source.  I wish this drought would just end.  I also wish I had thought of saving grey water for flushing and stuff like that.  At least, I have water-saving shower and toilet.  Of course, nothing can match a good drenching rain so bring in on, Goddess, bring it on!!!
