Samhain and I never even bothered to carve a Jack-o-Lantern... A least I bought some candy corn!  I just love that sickly sweet crap and I totally blame my Mother who used to pull out the bag of brown sugar and eat the big chunks with a spoon...  She also makes the very best vanilla frosting known to man which she happily taught me to make.  Now, I don't even bother with the cake--I just eat the frosting...  Sickly sweet is one thing I try to avoid at all costs, but come-on... One little bag of candy corn, I just had to do it (ok, twice this Halloween...).  At least, I've only eaten half the bag today--it could be worse... (I could have bought the pumpkins also and did not...)I'll at least burn a candle and pray so my brother will visit as he always does on Halloween.  We've lost most of the real meaning of the vail between the worlds becoming so thin that spirits can contact us.  We've lost that the Jack-o-Lantern was to scare the evil spirits away.  Happily, I have window clings of Jacks and I'm counting on them to do the trick...Have a wonderful Halloween everyone!  This is, bar none, my favorite holiday!!!

I cooked my Dad\'s favorite dinner...hot dogs and a green salad. He\'s been gone 15 years. I\'ll burn a candle all night.....

Oh Cj, a girl after my own heart. I just love candy corn and have already gone through 2 bags. Fortunately, by the time I get to a store, it will be off the shelves (hopefully). However, I went to BJ\'s and bought a huge bag of candy for the trick or treaters and most of it is left. Now I just have to finish it. It would be wrong, all wrong not to eat it! ;-)

candy corn is my weakness also, that and \"inspecting\" the kids candy. Hey it\'s my right as a parent..Not my fault some of the candy bars looked questionable.
