This was a response to a really negative post about the "whiners" on the DS site (we would call them "Wendy Whiners" in my household...  I just think thinlizzy got a bad first impression, just like I did at first.  I took me a few weeks to find the hidden gold on the DS site.  And when you find it, you are rich indeed!  Here is my response to her:When I first came to this site, I was a non-believer... I saw some of the negative post-ers who whined about their disease... Then, it changed and I found people just like me!You've got to dig for the gold--trust me, it is there!  And, I'm with Feisty who posted that thinlizzy may have happened upon the negative few on here.  Hey, we all have bad days, but I for one have one bad day compared to 100 good ones!  I've learned after 14 dxed years that the MS will change my life (for me in ways that have been definitely more POSITIVE), but it is not who I am...I am SO MUCH MORE than the MS that is in my body!  Even on the slower days, I am so much more than the lesions on my brain!  I am a gardener, a mother to stinkin' ole puppups, a partner, a friend... I am one of the leaders of the Positive Purpose MS Support Group in my small rural county... I'm the gal that has taken the time to befriend WalMart employees and learn their names so I can say HI when I shop...I'm the gal who takes the time to have long conversations with the little old men at the grocery story just to give them a happy day...  I know they go home and tell their wives or children or dogs about the crazy redhead at the store who took the time to talk about chicken and how a chicken in the pot makes several meals for many.Trust me, my dear thinlizzy, many of us on here are way more than the pain and fatigue that is in our embattled bodies.  We are a group of fighters who are never going to give up to MS and that includes when our Earthy bodies are 6 foot under!  I'm excited about what is next because I'm having such a fun ride here, a little scary and painful, but one heck of a lot of fun!  My spirit will continue and find a way to bring happiness to someone... xo Cj (Cindyjo)

Wow, Cj. That was beautiful. You are the reason I am here too. You, and people like you. Like you, I have my bad days..but I know that the bad days are followed by great ones. I enjoy my life, more so since my DX. I don\'t love the illness, but I love the awareness it has brought me. Let\'s keep digging, sowing, growing.....harvesting. Being the people we are, without all the artifice. It\'s a glorious thing. Love you.-Jen

P.S. I was wondering if you wanted to swap some seeds. I\'ve been obsessing on your Pineapple Sage. I have Chocolate Mint, Datura, Abutilon, Mirabalis, Nicotiana, Heliotrope....too many to list. Let me know.-Jen
