Finally!  The Egyptian onions are in the ground, and the bee balms will follows those tomorrow.  My new clones of Pineapple Sage look so good (Feisty—thanks for the advice!), I got really brave and cloned the regular Sage as well.  Imagine!  Fresh herbs all winter long (I hope--putting the carriage in front of the horse, but I'm optimistic about the new clones).  Now, when it rains this week as promised by the weatherman, I’ll give the strawberry patch one more weeding, and haul the tomato plants over the hill.  I may do the same with the peppers since the hornworms munched on one of those as well (they ignored the tomatoes with Bt, so I just have to decide).  The peppers may end up in the compost pile—we’ll see (it would be easier—certainly those few whopper zucchinis will be compost).  Finally, I need to pull up my plastic mulch and put that puppy to bed!  Now, I’ll need to get my act together on plantings in the greenhouse.  I may try some clones there as well, though I really want to grow arugula and lettuce.  I've saved tons of seed as I let my cimmeron seed out completely.  I admit, it is an experiment, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...My really buzy puppy week begins with a day alone on the farm, then the gun goes off and I'm out of the gate with a trip to the Oak Clinic with a friend on Tues., a mammogram on Wed., and a Halloween Party for the PPMS (Positive Purpose MS) Group on Sunday.  We're doing pizzas--something I make really well!  I'm even going to cut out pepperoni bats, and tombstones for fun!  Any ideas are appreciated, but remember, I live in farm country and I need to "keep it simple, stupid" so my food is eaten!
