OK, I went to a new family doctor today as my old one left Coshocton County to pursue a real medical career in Columbus, Ohio... I don't know about this new doctor...First, she does not want my old records from my previous doctor (red flag), she does not want to treat me for any "female issues" and wants me to go to my gynecologist to order a mammogram, and she wants me to go to my neurologist for all things MS. OK, my old family doctor in Coshocton was also a doctor of internal medicine, so his training was more extensive, I get that. I love my neurologist (who is 80 miles away), and the new doc seems to be willing to work with my neuro if necessary (though she did not seem to embrace it). Goddess, I feel as if I have no options in cow country...I think it is best to give it a couple of days, and see if I can get feedback. Why is it all the doctors I grow to love move on??? Answer: I get good doctors who want to pursue the careers they were meant for, and they will not find them in Coshocton County. My only Coshocton friend wants me to go 45 minutes away for decent care... Ugh.. We'll see how I feel after a few days. By then, the bloodwork will come back with high triglycerides (as I had had breakfast and coffee w/cream and sugar--not a fasting bloodwork). I'm really just wanting to check my cholesterol--my Dad had two open heart surgeries so yeah, there is history which is why I'm concerned...I've got to let this go... xoxoxo Cj

Yea i just had blood work done. I hate giving blood takes them forever to get a good vein it seems..Was told to watch my cholesterol also, but huby likes his food drowned in butter if you bake it..he\'s got very high cholesterol but won\'t listen says you \"live only once\".
And here I am, eating meat maybe once a week unless it is chicken... I\'m not nervous except for the triglycerides because I had not been fasting (had no idea they would take blood... at least I haven\'t needed herbal remedies for pain).
We\'ll see as I\'m not sure I will use this doctor. Not overly comfortable with her... xo cj
See this Doc for everyday stuff. Normal aches and pains.....at least she\'s close.
