Five hours of cleaning, roasting, peeling, and seeding peppers but I'm still not done... I admit, I lost my steam when my partner came home, and I decided to throw them in the fridge to be pickled tomorrow. What the heck, Rome was not built in a day, right? I'm ready to rock though and have roasted the garlic as well. All I can say is that I will be so happy to have these yummy beauties all winter long!I admit, I took my pedometer off and started to repremand myself since I only logged 4 1/2 miles today... Then, I thought, that is really stupid Cj because many people don't move that much in a day. I wear the pedometer daily, and all I can say is it has given me a new way to view my MS. At the end of the day when my legs feel like lead, I just have to look at the pedometer which usually explains why my legs are done. My goal each day is 10,000 steps which is just under 5 miles. I do manage that at least 5 days a week. At this point of the day, my legs are lead, my fingers are totally numb (I type by rote as I used to be The Mad Typist and a manager at Kinko's Desktop Publishing). No, I no longer type 100+ words per minute, but I'm not complaining... Heck, nothing is that immediate in my world anymore, thank you Goddess, and the pressure I put on myself is purely fictional. Little by little is the moto on the farm, and you know, that is just fine for me.The stinkin' ole puppups managed another day without the threatened baths. It will happen this week because our temperatures are unseasonably warm. Plus, hate the break it to them, the tootsies are getting trim jobs as I have the visions of the snowballs they will be dragging in soon. It sound minor, but tootsies are very personal! They will be hating their MumTheBum when I finally get to it. I'll let you know how it all transpires...OK, gotta go as my Mom will be calling in 5 minutes like she does every night. She always has far more drama than I for which I am eternally grateful!

Sounds like a good day on the farm. I am staring at the pile of things outside I\'ve been meaning to get to \"tomorrow\". Your poor pups. I understand. Mine scream before I even touch them. It\'s hilarious and frustrating. They hate their manicures. Be well CJ.-Jen
Hi Cj, I am roaring at your story of the pups and baths and manicures. I have a picture in my mind of a huge metal tub outside filled with dogs and you trying to get them all washed. They are shaking faster than you can wash them. Seems you are getting more of a bath than they are!!
You will be eating peppers till the cows come home. I can\'t believe how much work you have to put into this garden. I will be over in the dead of winter to sample your prepared foods!!!! And, sounds like I really do need to shop at your farm stand! hugs, Marti
Marti, dear... First of all, Schnauzers would never agree to outside bathing... OH, NO! Only the double kitchen sink will do! And, yes, me, my kitchen, and my whole house get bathed in the process... (Gotta grab PaPoo first or she will hide under the bed, Sparky just knows he is doomee because he is too fat to fit anywhere safe...
Feisty, forget about manicures... That is what vets are for for PaPoo... Sparky will let me vvveeerrryyy sllllowwwwly...
And, Marti, don\'t let the gravel roads deter you! When I said I live remote, I wasn\'t kidding!
xoxoxo to All, Cj
I remember the days when CeCe went to the groomers, you would have thought she was a million bucks. Just prissy and beautiful. But spike is a different story he just goes with the flow. I really need to try and trim he toenails, but I dont know how much to clip and what if he bleeds.
gosh your life sounds so peaceful..wish I lived on a farm and could have a garden
