OK yea I know I'm bad for not keeping everyone informed on how I am doing especially since the last time I posted was June of 2014, Yikes. But if nothing else it shows I have been trying to move forward and get back my life. I got to spend the summer with my 2 adorable Grandsons and hubby riding horses, boating & tubing, fishing, camping, shooting archery, riding the ATV and just enjoying each day as it came. Some days were better than others as can be expected with 2 very active little boys but we had a great time. Very few times was the TV even turned on except when the weather turned nasty, the rest of the time my boys and I were outside usually on the back of one of our horses or on the ATV. Even the little one who is now 6 rides a horse by himself and between him and the older Grandson they made adventures within a 5 mile radius of the house on the back of the horses and with my dog in tow. It was so difficult to watch them go back home and start school. September came and found myself and my daughter out archery elk hunting for 2-1/2 weeks. What a wonderful experience that was. We got into elk every day (and wolves) but never got the opportunity to get close enough to shoot an elk but I did lob an arrow at a wolf that had been stalking for me for about 45 minutes.  It's kind of scary being in the wilderness with nothing but a bow and being stalked by an apex predator. In October I spent 3 weeks at our cabin with my hubby while he rifle hunted for elk and I hunted for deer, neither of us shot anything but we got to take out a young hunter of about 10 years of age and his dad and teach them how to hunt. Both shot their first deer. After we moved back home from the cabin my daughter and Grandsons came back on several occasions and we finished up our elk season with 5 days of muzzle loader season in November. No elk their either but we both got our deer so the season was successful. Especially the memories some bad such as when we almost got shot out of our tree stands by some dumb Arse target practicing with a pistol shooting right towards us during archery season. Good thing daughter and I both had side arms because we shot back (at trees) to let them know someone was there. Then Daughter and I were harassed by the wolves on several occasions and even had them within 25 feet off the back of our camper. People that say wolves are harmless sure don't live with them in the wild. We even came across 3 wolf kills on beef cattle that were out there on open range and 2 elk kills (so if your price of beef is up you know why because the ranchers are taking a big hit out west here from the wolves) What is sad is these wolves aren't eating what they kill either. Just killing and eating a very small amount and leaving the rest to waste. We had a nice Thanksgiving though, a few days early while my daughter and her family were here hunting, Then they once again traveled back home and back to work. December I thought was going to be just typical rush getting things ready for our trip down to daughters for Christmas but on the 16th my husband was hospitalized with a raging UTI and sepsis (not good). They got him on antibiotics and we thought things were going well by the time my daughter and her family showed back up to help me out while Dad was in the hospital. We thought he was fine so went to the big town of Lewiston (50 miles away) to do some shopping, when we got the call from the hospital saying my husband had had a heart attack and they were flying him to Spokane Washington to the heart center. OK by now I'm freaking big time. I can't drive, I am totally dependent on others and they are flying my husband 300 miles away. We called my son who lives in Lewiston and dropped my son in law off with him with instructions to arrange someone to feed the horses and pick up my dog, while daughter and I took my car and Grandsons and drove at breakneck speeds to the heart center in Spokane. They called us telling us the cardiologists was waiting for them to land and hubby would immediately go in for a heart cath, if they couldn't clear the blockage the surgical team was standing by. OK now I am in total hysterics!  We got there just as he was coming out of the heart cath and got to talk to the doctor. No damage was done to his heart, the clot buster the town's doctor gave him saved his life but they were keeping him for some tests and to get the UTI infection cleared up. Yea fast forward a week and now it's time to get 5 people and a dog back home the 300 miles and get packed to head down to Boise where more tests are scheduled and for Christmas. LOL for the first time ever we waited until 2 days before Christmas to even find a tree (good tree bargains that close to the big day). Finished shopping and attempted to get preparations for Christmas day which was crazy because my Daughter had to work Christmas eve and my son in law Christmas day. But all that mattered was we were blessed  to all be still alive and together for Christmas. Sheesh. Don't get me started on New years!
