80%

Well, I guess I could say I am 80%.  I am on Prednisone, antibiotic, Antivert.  Hopefully just an inner ear infection.  I still occassionally get dizzy while driving but not as bad as before.  Kind of whoozy, like drinking a glass of wine on an empty stomach.  Still a little scary and trying not to throw myself into a panic attack while driving.  My heart still races a little when I get scared, but not the "beat out of my chest" I had been feeling where I thought I was having a heart attack.  I can say I am functioning and driving again but still worried/scared.  Have appt to go back to Dr for follow up on Thursday afternoon.  Still having occassional headaches as well.

Work is just plain BAD.  The stress is so bad.  14 years with this company and I have never gone this stressed for this long without some kind of a break.  And new requirements that take more time.  I have to stop letting this get to me so much.  I feel SO beat up right now.

I am very frustrated with husband, and sometimes son, but mostly husband.  He is such a downer right now and it is like I don't want to even be around him.  He just flies off the handle so easy.  And with everything else I am going through right now, I feel like shaking him and saying "get a grip."  He truly has no idea what stress is.  Saturday was my 17 year anniversary and I didn't even want to talk to him.  We went to dinner at my mom's last night and he just "dissed" David in front of everyone and was so negative.  I said something to him in the car last night coming home and he got all upset.  I said to him, "Sometimes you should just stop and listen to what you are saying."  I feel like he thrives on negative and misery.  It is sucking my energy right now.

We are going to Las Vegas on vacation (God Willing) on 3/31 for a week.  I am kind of dreading it.  I would rather stay home for a week of peace and quiet.  I dread the 6 hr plane ride with my current physical situation.  I dread being in a hotel for a week with my son and husband.  I dread the battles over what to do and how much money to spend.  And we will go to the Grand Canyon.  I have been there before.  Paul will take hours and hours of driving as he will have to stop at every pull off to "Ooh Aah" and take photos.  So I dread the hours and hours in the car.  Packing and unpacking for multiple hotels.  Eating take out and restaurants for a week.  Having no time to myself.  So I am afraid I will come back in worse shape than I went.  I have told Paul to cancel this trip several times now.  My mom will watch my dog.  At least I know she will be in good hands.

I did Zumba yesterday and felt fine.  again, a little whoozy but otherwise ok.  Praying to feel normal again soon.  Food has been bad.  Bloated and eating, and Prednisone not helping.  This past weekend was 73 and sunny all weekend, so at least we caught a break there.  Felt good.  I am eating a lot and gained a couple pounds back.  No worries.  Once I get back on track, I know I can lose it again.  Just want to minimize the damage.

I guess I should have called this entry "Praying for normal."  I will try to catch up with everyone this week.  Sorry I lost touch.  Between work, illness, working some nights until 2AM, husband, etc, I have not been on DS or Facebook for several weeks.  I had like 100+ gifts from Farmville all expire since they were so old!  Just no time.  After Easter, hoping things slow down.  CRE will be over on Tuesday nights.  Health Circle at the Y on Monday nights is temporarily cancelled due to lack of interest.  I am subbing on Thursday nights for bowling in a league and also I am in a league on Friday nights, so hopefully they will be over soon.  David and I will do a summer league together on Wednesday nights I think.  And PRAYING that with better weather comes less claims!!!!!!!  We had over 1500 claims last weekend alone (a week ago) from the wind/rain storms between PA and New England!

Thanks to my dear friends for sticking by me and thinking of me!  Seriously, I think of you ALL often.  Just hoping to get more time to stay in touch!

I am so glad you posted, sorry about how you have been feeling and going thru. Your such a great person, I hate to see you this way. Wish I could help! I know what you mean, wanting peace and quite and vacation just isn\'t exciting at this point. Glad you got in a workout, always makes us feel better and gets us back on track. It was windy and cold this weekend, little snow. Warmer this week so hopefully the weekend is nicer. Glad you have bowling in your side, sure that\'s enjoyable. Wishing warmer weather, happier moments, slower workload, better health and some free time for you very soon!!! Love ya and hang in there!

Your medical condition is worrisome...I would have thought it would be gone by now. Please keep us updated on what the Dr. says Yvette...I am worried about you!
I get what you\'re saying about hubby and his mood bringing you down. My EX had a way of destroying my peace and quiet like that too. And vacations are always just another pile of stress on Mom...everyone in my family seems to think that just because we went on vacation and are staying in a hotel that somehow we\'ve won the lottery and it\'s a free for all spend fest.
I actually enjoy long road trips...but with my kids not so much. LOL! Love my kids but give me business class while they ride coach any day. Sounds awful but last time we went all coach seats to Disney World it was like 1000x more bickering and complaining than when we drove the 19 hours down there...and that was bad enough! On the way home we got to bump our seats up to business class and it was a tiny slice of heaven!
Yes...no worries...you WILL get back on track and those lbs. will be gone, gone, gone!
Bowling is actually good exercise especially when regular workouts can\'t be done due some sort of physical limitation. Come to think of it I should look into how much it would cost for me to go bowling a couple times a week!
Love to you Yvette...thanks for the update and feel better and try to destress!!

Sweetie, you sound like you need a vacation by yourself! lol. I\'m so sorry you\'re stressed to the max. I know how Prednisone can put you back with exercise and weight loss. It\'s not a fun drug to be on. I can\'t give you any sound advice when it comes to making your situation any better but I can give you hugs. Hugs to you sweetie. I really do pray for you and your situation(s) right now. Take care of you as best as you can. Call if you need to vent.

I\'m sorry you are feeling so crappy, it does sound like you need a week away by yourself to let go of some of this stress from work and your family. Prednisone sucks, I\'m sorry you are on it, it can definitely mess with your system. I hope you start feeling better and get rid of some of your stress. Keep us posted on your medical issues and stay strong!

I was just told by another manager: \"Be glad you have a job.\" You know, that really sucks! We can load you with work, be glad you have a job! We can ask you to work OT with no extra pay, be glad you have a job. We can take away any perks we want, be glad you have a job. Last year I won a weekend getaway and they took them away due to the AIG scandal! No raises, crappy raises? Be glad you have a job! Maybe I need to rethink this and update my resume.

Wow! what a jerk...that manager! I understand that we are all glad to have some sort of job, but what a way to boost the morale! :p :P >:o
Def a good idea about updating resume for sure!
As I see it, that man (your hub) should feel darn fortunate that you are still around and with him!!! I\'m sorry, but he needs a slap in the face (not literally of course...well....hmmm...no not literally! ;) ) He prob said that to others becuz he wanted to push himself away and above your sons issues...make himself look like he doesn\'t approve and is above it all. Well...the fact is, that he is his son, and he really prob looked stupid to whomever he said it to, if they had any kind of sympathy toward kids who get this...know what I mean? He is pushing your buttons to see how far he can push you b4 you break! He needs a real good tongue lashing..as long as you feel safe enough to do it...otherwise it\'s time to give him an ultimatum (I feel anyhow). I know its scary but this will not end I fear unless and until you do! It will only get worse...and you 2 are getting further and further apart, where eventually there will be no return! I can see him separating himself from you two...from what I\'ve read so far.
\"STRESS\" is what is effecting you!!! And boy oh boy, do you have it goin on GF!!! I have had those very same physical symptoms and even if you are working out and all that...its the fact that you go to a home, where its suppose to be a safe place to go, and it is NOT!!! My advice, if you plan to stay, is to put it all out there to him, on the table, and go from there...and get that darn massage!
Plan on getting one at least 1 time a month...if nothing else, it will help release some of the \"physical\" tension your body goes through when dealing with all this crud! I know it costs, but if you look around, there are several to choose from...even schools where it\'s like half the normal price. If I didn\'t have the deg discs and fibro myself, I would do the schools. They are def cost efficient. I think you need something like that, that is just \"you\" time...where you don\'t feel like it\'s a \"have to\" thing...such as working out for your weight and so forth. It really is \"OK\" to pamper yourself too!!!! Trust me okay??? ;-) (((((((HUGE HUGS)))))))
P.S. I\'m not discounting a Doctors advice neither, just make sure to tell the Dr. what is going on at home as well...that way he can thoroughly evaluate the problems you are having...physical and emotional. You know they are all connected! ;-)

Yes I would be updating the resume and looking for a better place to work! Someplace that treats you with decency and appreciates all you do..
Did you check with your DR. regarding flying with your ear situation? It would just take a phone call to be sure. You sure do not want to deal with a busted eardrum. Las Vegas....what a fun place to go...I need to get back there.

So glad to hear from you! Um...maybe you shouldn\'t drive until you and 100%! I know that\'s easier said than done. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Did they tell you to take Meclizine? It helps with dizziness but causes some drowsiness. I hope you enjoy Vegas. I know what you mean about wanting to stay home and rest but maybe getting away will do you more good than you think. I was having a terrible time at work a few weeks ago as well. After lots of prayer I confronted the doctor I work for (in a very polite and respectful way) but after we talked things have been much better! That may not work for you but I believe prayer can help everything! Hang in there!

The Antivert is actually Mecilizine. it helps somewhat. I think the stress is also creating havoc with me as well.
