7th day sober!

Wow I know it wouldn't sound like a lot to a non alchoholic person but 7 days is a lot to me, considering it has been years since I've been sober. Months ago there is no way (in my mind) that i could go more than 2 days without a drink. I did make a very serious and conscious decision to quit because I am not ready to die, and want to be a successful productive asset to society. I can't believe I wasted so much time in some drunken fantasy world all these years. And for what?
