Erica and her husband Chris are moving out today as I am writing this!! They moved back home thinking it was going to be a short stay, they moved in the 1st week of October. Chris just finally found out they aren't going to be deployed until next February...SO, they decided to get their own place until then. When they told me they were looking for an apartment, a 1st I felt sad, then I realized it was much needed we all talked about it and thought it would be the best thing for all of us..I'm so happy we had that 8 months together. Having my daughter back for a while helped me feel she is safe, an adult and married with a wonderful man who is following his dream and setting up his future that is amazing. Erica is a very lucky young woman who found her love of her life and vice versa!! It was So exciting to actually she the change in the both of them, to me it is a dream come true, true love at 1st site. Erica's father wasn't there for her growing up, she was 8 yrs old when her dad and I divorced..He had an addition to alcohol and told me he would never stop drinking, he has been with 4 woman since I left him 14 yrs ago..He was too busy drinking and having fun with each woman, he didn't have time for his children.. Only called every so often, sad isn't it.....
The nice part this time Erica and Chris will be living 20 minutes away from us until next February then the big move will be in Oklahoma for almost 2 years, YUK, Tornado season...Well they will be on the Air Force Base . Their plans are to move back to this area no more then an hour away from where I live. Then buy a house have babies who knows God only knows....
The 1st 4 months Erica and I did a lot together, then when she realized her old friends were no longer her friends, and everything is different then she figured, Erica started to turn into a bitch and treated me bad like she did back in her teenage years!! It was so hurtful, I was a Wreck to the point I started to not like her and it was so devastating to me, I was crying and crazy like she made me back when.. They went to a family reunion in NC for 4 days and before she left to go to logan airport at 3am in the morning, she stuck her head in my bedroom doorway, she sad mom can I talk to you, I jumped up and stood in the hallway, she was crying so bad and hugging so tight telling me how sorry she was for treating me so bad, I told her go and have a great time, and don't worry about it, we will work it out. when she got back home she was so nice to me. We talked about how much better it will be when Chris and her move out and get their own life back together, just as Lan and I need our space...
OMG! for the last few months Lan and I were taking care of their black Lab, doing their laundry, feeling like it was when they were back in high school.. She took over our house hold like it was theirs we felt like we were walking on needles and pins.. It took a toll on Lan and I, we felt like we took a few steps back from our own recovery from the grieving process of Ryan. Lan isn't the father of my children, and we have been working on our relationship from all the pain of losing Ryan.. I can't believe Lan has stuck with me through all my ups and downs from ife issues, you know!! WoW!! HUH!!
So now as we speak is all of our new beginning, its another test God threw at us!! lol another learning experience....I feel grateful today, Bliss, Love, Peace, and comfortable!
Now I can focus again have a plan for a healthy happy future, and do my work God has laid out for me, to help others again!! Yaayy! I can't wait for the Tahoe Hugs coming up!! Love you all SOTH!!!!!!
XO Kelly

Isn\'t it amazing to see how it is all working out... You had time together to see how far one another has come and now they\'ll continue on their path and you will continue on yours. Sometimes loving one another from a little distance can be what is needed and it\'s so easy to begin falling back into those patterns that were established when they were children.
Grateful you could talk, work it out and now you will have your space back and they will have theirs. I think that strong gust of wind I just felt must have been a huge exhale coming all the way from NH? ! :)
You have the most loving and giving heart of anyone I know dear Kelly so time to turn that back towards yourself and savor your couple time with Lan. :)
Lots of love dear one and Erica is well launched and on her way. Must make your heart feel so very proud that she is living her life as independently as she is.
Love YOU and thanks for sharing where you are on this path,
XO Joanie
So sorry, sometimes a rocky road can defintely lead to a rainbow path, glad it\'s happened for you! Miss you WOMAN, can\'t wait to SQUEEZE you in TAHOE!! Hugs and love to you and RYAN!
Oh Kelly. I am so glad things are working out. It is hard to have an adult child move back in. It is wonderful on one hand but they can definitely begin to exhibit some of the behaviours they had as teens.
I am sure it will be good for everyone - and they are nearby until February!
The loss of a child also changes the family dynamics. There is that gaping hole and we all grieve differently. I am surprised Joe has not decided that I am too much. I still cry a lot, and can become very sullen. Being a typical man, he didn\'t know what to do with me. He wanted it all to be better - he is finally getting it though. He just gives me a hug.
Roll on August! The real hugs are going to feel so good!
Love and hugs,
Marlene
As much as I love my son, I can\'t imagine living with him ever again!!! I\'m sorry for the time your relationship with Erica was strained, and SO happy she realized what an awesome mom you are and apologized and made things better!
Life does tick on doesn\'t it?
Keep smiling beautiful!
See you soon!!! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!
It is so good to hear things are working out. I am glad everyone is on a good path at this point.
tight hugs Penny
Kell, I am glad that my son is living on his own now. It is more peaceful
Awwwww Kelly....so glad it is all working out. Can hardly wait to see you in Tahoe and get that promised real hug. \'Til then...Hugs, Ann
Kelly wishing you and the family some peace. It is such a blessing to be able to discuss the events and come to a resolution that is good for all. Hugs. Kathy
My daughter Kate and I shared a house many years ago ( with her hubby and 2 kids) ... I love her but never again... We now live around the corner from each other...close enough for a pop in visit but far away enough for privacy.
My grandson Chris has been living here since lady August and just moved out he bought his own home since he\'s getting married in December ...cooking, doing his laundry..and that god knows what smell in his room !!! Lol
It\'s been great having him here but it\'s really great having him move out...
Hugs, marylou
