Catching up now...surgery went great, recovery was very good, back at work week 1 was good-week 2 & 3 were very hard, week 4 of being back at work was this week and it ended pretty spectacular. My boss gave me my review-which was a non-money review. Now normally that is not a fun event, however this one was spectacular. He had the nicest professional compliments-gushing and gooing over the work I do. I have never had a boss be that forth coming with complimentary verbage. (He is old enough to be my dad so don't think that either!) So, he had already given me a huge raise before I went out for surgery! I would be not as thrilled had this verbage been before that-him "buying me to be sure and return from leave" kinda thing. But, the positiveness of this review-it was not really neccessary- which is why I know it had to be real and not a put on. OK, so I do over analyze things. I can safely say most females do. I am just used to being overly committed to my job and being never commended for it. Bosses rarely know how to "truly" motivate employees, but by gosh I think mine has done his homework! As I am now all smiles over that positive event, back to the reality of life, this sudden happiness derrived from my boss has clearly aggrivated my husband. He said: "I don't make you that happy but I give you compliments all the time." OK, what is with that??? I really hope he was just being silly and didn't really mean that. Can I just be freakin' happy for an hour-Please! Happy Happy-yeah-right
