Okay so today my goal was to find a goal. I can’t figure out exactly how I access the videos on Kerry Tepedino’s site to watch and perhaps glean something that will make me feel inspired.
The summit started on June 1st . There is supposed to be according to how I understood it a video for every day for I think 23 days. I can’t access them because I need to sign in, but I’m not registered and I don’t know how to register. I knew I’d have to get copies of those videos that played between June 1 and June 7 so I ordered the starter bundle and right now all I have is a promise that it will be mailed at the end of the summit. Oh I’m disgusted!
They have put the personal calls to the end of the summit. I have an appointment for a personal call for July 3rd at 11am. I honestly don’t feel like the call will make or break my resolution. I kind of think it will only be a high pressure sales talk.
I am struggling with my difficulties of navigating the site quite distressing. I may have wasted my money on Kerry Tepedino’s program, but it won’t be a complete waste because I’m going to work past this frustration. There are lots of programs. None of them will work unless I work.
I am going to get past my disappointment and keep working on my goals. So that’s my more positive thought for the day.
I checked my email and found a link for today’s video. I did find some things I feel will be useful for me to keep in my mind.
Thought for today: What you eat does affect how you feel both physically and mentally. I totally know this is true. I need to work more with myself on why when I know how true that is do I continue to overeat?
Guest Speaker: Jonathan Bailor
I kind of felt dismayed by Mr. Bailor saying that when he first started out as a trainer his clients turned out to be quite different than what he had expected. Mr. Bailor said contrary to his expectations his clients weren’t lazy and stupid. I don’t know why I’m disappointed that he said that… I know that lots of people think people who are fat are lazy and stupid… Ahhh well… I feel bad for fat people, myself included for all the stereotypes that exist about us… sometimes it just is what it is…
Myth: You don’t count calories on this food plan.
Mr. Bailor introduced the concept of encouraging people to eat double digits of non starchy vegetables. I don’t know of any non starchy vegetables that aren’t low in calories… I agree lots of non starch vegetables can help in any weight loss plan… and making sure you eat those before you eat the rest of your meal should definitely help you eat less of higher calorie foods… thus creating a greater chance of weight loss… and I’m good with it… just don’t lie to me please… Calories matter.
Today was as all days... some frustration... some good things... I blew my diet... no reason... I felt light headed... Like I was starving... but I'm going to forgive myself... rededicate myself to trying again. Right now I don't have to worry about hunger because I'm kind of sad and my head hurts... but the hunger pangs will come... so I'm going to go to bed and stay there...

Me neither. Not lazy and stupid. Hurt and grieved. Exhausted from a heart test today, echocardiogram. Hurt to lie on my side. Hurt to have my chest pressed. Stiff from waiting for my appt. in an air-conditioned, cold, room. Went walking to the room, long halls, took wheelchair back to car. Hope test saw nothing wrong.
Staying healthy, trying to, is exhausting. Frustrating. Expensive. still haven\'t got an answer about my meds, have to take another test tonight, while I sleep. So not just having full face mask tonight, have to have index finger squeezed into some kind of metal machine. Still, I walked today with Gracie. to the corner, and that\'s the way I intend to get healthier. Chin up. you\'re not alone, dear soth. Love, abby
Dearest Elissa, you are such a beautiful person! Loving, caring, giving, and so much more!! I think a lot about life, and one thing I cannot understand, is the way in which people who are not \"perfect\", are always labelled in a negative way. I am also over-weight, and even worse, I have a lot of unwanted facial hair! Doctors say it is a genetic problem. I have an electric shaver with which I shave every second day. It is so devastating when people stare at my face, or make remarks! This is my BODY, and not ME! Somehow people choose to only see the BODY, and not the person INSIDE this body!!
Lately I try to concentrate on the beautiful things that I can do to make me happy, like painting, crochetting, writing and playing computer games. Life is not easy or fair. That is why I am focussing on the ME inside this body. And remembering how my Colleen loved me, just as I am!!
Gentle, loving hugs to you, my beautiful friend!! xxx
No meat, no sweet works good for a detox. I start with the Daniel plan. At the end of the week, my aches are gone..then, I eat crap...geesh.
Hi Elissa. I hope it works for you. Whatever works. I kind of like Andelene\'s response. It is sad that society judges us by our outward appearances, rather than who we are.
I think the important thing is to do what works for us and if we have a setback, not to beat ourselves up.
Just know we love you just the way you are!!
Tight hugs,
Marlene
I can certainly understand your feelings. I feel mostly the same way. I am FAT, period!! End of story!!! I am trying to get myself motivated, to go back on My fitness pal. It is a calorie counting plan. So this morning, I try to weigh myself, so I can record it, on fitness pal. The battery in my scales is dead and is one of those funny, flat ones. I will have to go to the store to get the battery. Augggghhhhh.... Always something to frusterate me, even before starting the diet. Hang in there, Elissa. You are not alone. Remember, you are one hot mama!! Tomorrow is another day :)
