Ok... so I'm scared as heck...  I've taken the first steps on achieving my goal... I've been fighting my weight since my teens... I'd actually made good progress and maintained the weight loss over several years but then things went way south in recent years...   I gained a lot of weight... and naturally I've been having major health issues as a result...
I won't go into all the details... nor make any excuses... It doesn't really matter... I've made up my mind to have weight loss surgery... gastric bypass... I'm going through the process now.  I'm already in the process of changing my eating patterns.  I've been working on increasing protein intake and cut cut cut those sugars, fats and carbs.  In recent weeks I've lost 12 pounds... no I won't tell you my start weight... LOL...  too damn big.... GRRRRRRRR  For the first time in quite some time I'm keeping my sugars down... whoo hoo... 108 this morning... that is good...
Well just wanted to tell yall what's going on with me and ask for your prayers.  Hugs and Much Love To All Of You.

Good for you! My husband had it 7 years ago and lost a lot of weight. He gained some back...but has been able to maintain a fairly good weight for years now. He is so happy he did it and would definitely recommend it! When is the surgery? Let us know how it goes...love and hugs...Karen

Thinking of you and you are so wise to be making these life style changes now before your surgery. Wishing you the best of luck as a healthier and happier YOU emerges. You can do it! Become as educated as you can be and ask as many questions as you need to. Also, hopeful that you have found a great doctor that you feel comfortable with to perform your surgery.

Please do keep in touch and let us know how you are doing and feeling.

Loving care!
XO Joanie
