Some thoughts about being hmmmmm I'm not sure what the word or words would be... about not offending people of other faiths... or no faith... I don't hate you... I hope you don't hate me... but at the risk of being rude... or whatever people might think I have made a decision... <>I will continue to say Merry Christmas and encourage all I can to do the same... I feel like we have let people almost take God from us and from our children... by not wanting to offend anyone... I was encouraged by a news story today... There was a revival for Jesus meeting at LSU's Pete Maravich Building today... There were people of every age and what I found most encouraging was how many young people were there... It is time we rally behind our faith before it is destroyed... I will respect all other people whatever their faith... and I expect people to respect me and my faith... <>I know God can handle it... I'm not trying to do his job... I'm just trying to do mine... and to me I need to stand up for what I believe in.... and I consider faith a gift so I need to share it... So with much love and respect I ask for your understanding. Hugs Elissa

I agree! It is so difficult being a teacher...cuz I want to be able to display my faith but i fear offending people. I put up presentations for my students and like to decorate with clip art. But I try to stay way from \"Christmas\" things..for fear of offending someone who is not a Christian. Really sad if you think about it.
love, lana
Amen...
I am not embarrassed nor do I apologize. Although Jesus was not born exactly on Dec 25 it is the day we celebrate His birth. I do not care who believes Jesus is the son of God....in my opinion He proved Himself.....I do not care for poltics smudging up my religion but when they mess with my faith then screw them. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS .... MERRY CHRISTMAS....and Jesus, thanks for saving this miserable world. Love, Kathy
While at times I\'m angry at my God and don\'t feel my prayers are heard now, nor ever, I respect your choice in faith and know that its brought me a little more faith in him because I see in myself how this has taken him and my faith from me. Matthew loved the lord and the ever loving mother more than anyone, so I know he sits with them. My love and prayers, Lynette ~ Matthews mom
Elissa, Merry Cristmas to you.I feel you should be able to say anything you want as should others. It is not like you are forcing your views on anyone you are only expressing yours...Hugs, Inga
Hi, I am not overly Zelous in My faith, and it makes me Uncomfortable sometimes when I meet people in Public who are, I also Lynette, have questioned Gods presence and existance, I know it\'s natrual to do so when You are in Grieving,.. Im trying to get that faith back to my comfortable level,. but as for God getting lost out of Comercialism he sure is, My father got me involved with a group that emails all the companies who have tried and some who have done so, Taking Christmas out of there vocabulary choosing to call things Family, Or Holiday,.. and Not use Christmas, I think this is Awful, and I think it kinda Discriminates people of Christian Faith,. the Holiday of Christmas is Special to Celebrating the Brith of Christ, and should not be shoveled under the Rug as Just another day to be festive.
I so agree with you about this subject. What really p....\'s me off about this is that although our governments decide that we need to change our traditions etc for people who come from other country and faiths THEY DO NOT DO THE SAME THING for people from our christian country\'s when they live in their countries. POLITICAL CORECTNESS GONE MAD I say. So MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL and I will celebrate the birth of Christ now and forever more and will continue to wish Merry Christmas to one and all.
This is the first journal I\'ve read after my venting of hate.....THANK YOU.
AMEN.....I AM WITH YOU
IAM WIITH YOU BUT BECAUSE OF MY WORK I STEP BACK SOME TIME AS NOT TO OFEBD SOMEONE BUT I AM ASKING GOD FOR BOLDNESS AND HE IS PUTTING THE WORDS IN MY MOUTH AMEN LOVE YOU JODY
