Today is the one year anniversary for the families who were so tragically devastated by the Amish massacre... In one way I hate to refer to it that way because they don't want a media event/circus made of what happened... I just wanted us all to say an extra prayer for the families of the children who died and or were injured and all of the families... They are a close knit community and I'm sure all hurt by the tragedy... I admire their strength and I pray for them... Please join me in this. I know yall will and that many of you have been thinking of them too... and they have been thinking of others too... that's one blessing that comes from this pain... we have to come to a clearer realization of how much we need each other... all of us. This morning I was watching the news and they were talking about how the families were coping. I have a daily devotional that comes to me and I began to read and the devotional was about the same event... it felt so surreal and then Elissa you mentioned this as well so I have now sent my prayers and thoughts to these families 3 times this morning... I believe that I was meant to think of them and pray for these children and their families left behind. Thank You dear Elissa you are still guiding me through this journey. Do you think our kids are helping these young children? Erick always loved to have the attention of children, even if he claimed to hate it... I could read his smile, his laugh and his body language better than anyone else in my life and all screamed \"this is cool\".

I missed all that last year as Chris had just died and it was months later when my brain actually started working again that I heard bits and pieces-when I heard it was the one year anniversary it brought it all back-so many have to deal with the pain that we go through. Love, Sandy

I am lifting the families of those poor innocent children up in prayer. I used to live in the heart of Amish country in Delaware and they were the most kindest, giving, brilliant people I have the fortune to meet. Not to mention they make the most beautiful quilts and cabinets ever to grace a home. They also teach their children to not have things of this world, as most homes have no electric and no phone. What peace that would be. God bless them.
