So... I was reading journals... and I was commenting on a friend's pain at trying to go through her daughter's things... I know how that is...  anyway as I made a comment to her journal a thought came to me... and I wanted to share it in the hopes that it might help you...I was thinking about that today... about going through Cara's things... touching all her stuff and thinking of her hands touching them... and of her wearing them... and I thought God What do we do with the pain... do we fold it up and send it away... Where do we send it... and then I had an idea... You know it might be a good idea to write down what makes me sad... and put it in my God box.... I'm glad reading your journal made me think of that... and I hope you'll consider it... I want to write first... God I miss Cara's earthly presence... God please help me to more fully accept that Cara is and always will be a presence... that death is not the end... God I feel sad that I couldn't get Cara the help she needed here on earth... I'm going to write that and just put it in the box and count on God helping me heal... any way I'm gone to do that... I just wanted to share this idea so maybe it would help you...  I really think this is something that might help a lot of us... Hugs Elissa  That's what "girl" friends do... *Smile*

Thank you! What a delightful idea! I am sure Cara is smiling at you...knowing what a wonderful mom you are! I guess life is for learning! Think I will do the same thing! Give it all to God..but do is symbolically! Hugs! Hope you sleep well! Love, lana

What a wonderful Idea. I have been thinking of ways to deal with it when my darling man goes and this touched me in a very big way. Thank you.

I have a birdhouse that a friend gave me. It has windows for all my offerings to God, good or bad. Lots of hugs, jake\'s mom, kathy

i believe the physical act of doing this will be very healing. i didn\'t keep my daughter\'s stuff around very long at all because i could not handle seeing it. i did keep her car locked up in my garage for a year though. after that i rode in it one last time before selling it. it was a silver mazda miata anniversary edition convertible. a beautiful car. my husband was driving me & the top was down, wind blowing my hair all about, tears streaming. i knew how much she loved that car. and i talked to her the whole time saying i hoped she didn\'t mind but i felt it was time to let it go.
