Its interesting to see how often everyone else speaks what is in our hearts... I was reading messages and a friend talked abou her son who was 26 when he died... and how he was still her baby... she was like half defiant... and I know how she feels... because I feel that way too...Cara was 30... She was and is my baby... and always will be... Like you I'd give so much for a hug... I hate to think of young children... really any children dying... but I know they are in good arms... Cara loved babies... I guess she found an innocence and joy in them the rest of the world doesn't have... So I really hope that a great part of her work is just loving and enjoying the young ones... One of the prettiest mind pictures I have of her... Her oldest son T'Ben was upset... He went off to sulk... He was lying in the laundry room on top of some clothes... I saw Cara open the door... she called his name... she'd been looking for him... He wouldn't answer... a lot of people will say she spoiled him... I say she knew him... and she was more worried about him and his needs than anything else... She laid down on the clothes beside him... curved her body around him and just held him... After a bit he was calmer... she could talk to him about the need for him not to do whatever he had done... but for that moment... she just gave him love and acceptance... I know he will miss her... Its hard to find someone who will love you and just hold you whether you're right or wrong... You see... its funny how one thought leads to another... I was just thinking about our children finding and loving each other... and my mind was drawn to this memory of Cara loving... simply loving her son... I'm grateful for the chances to share her with you all... Like you I want so much for you to know my baby... Thank You Elissa

My daughter 27 sometimes gets mad at me and lets me know that she is not a baby but I always say to me you are. I am also making a memory book for my grans so they can know how special they are and how much daddy loved him and was loved. thanks for sharing
I think you have to get old to realize how wonderful it is to be mama\'s baby... *Smile*
T\'BEN WILL DEFINATELY CHERISH THAT MEMORY. HE PROBABLY ALREADY DOES. BUT IF NOT, I BET WHEN YOU DO TELL HIM, HE\'LL REMEMBER. SUCH A SWEET STORY, NOTHING LIKE A MOTHERS LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU, LISA
What a sweet, sweet memory of Cara and T\'Ben...I can picture them laying there together and it being all okay. Yep, he was my baby too...I always told him to remember he had my baby boy with him, to take good care of him...he never did mind that I said that...he knew. Love you.
WAY COOL MEMORY!
Tell Cara to find my sweet Leo. He LOVED to be held and cuddled 24/7! I would loe to think that Cara is showering Leo with affection.
When I worked in nursing homes as a therapist I was always amazed when my patient would say \"her baby\" was coming to see her-and this 70-some year old man would walk in-I was in my early 20s-didn\'t understand then-but do now-Chris is forever my baby-and he was soooo good with kids-I know he is definitely showing anyone under the age of 14 how to skateboard those clouds! Love, Sandy
Elissa,
What a great story about Cara and T\'ben. I loved it. I wish I had a Mom like that. What a great Mom she was. T\'ben will be grateful for that story being written down and shared. Cara had a great heart.
Lots of love to you.
Betty
