A friend is having a hard time missing her mama... We all know about the missing... Its hard...So I was thinking...   I watched a Little House On The Prarie episode this morning... I had just switched to it and Michael Langdon's character was telling Laura that it was important that she understand that the people we love don't leave us... that we have them in our hearts and in our memories... and that we will see them in heaven... Its simplistic but oh its so true... I wrote months ago that I had told my grandchildren that their mama lived on through the love... that my mama loved me... and she taught me to love through loving me... that I loved their mama... and that I taught her to love through loving her... and that she loved them... and she taught them to love... through loving them... and of course the love was there before my mama... and it will be there after my grandkids... because love is like that... Its the very best part of us and it lives through us... It isn't just kept within the family either... because by being loved and learning to love we love others... and they love others... because not everyone gets a mama like ours... sometimes mamas have been so hurt by life and things we may never have known about they shut down the loving part of who they are... but because of mamas like ours... its like sharing some hot embers to help a neighbor start a fire...  I'm sure what I'm saying could be phrased a whole lot better... but it wouldn't be any truer no matter how it was said... Love is truly the greatest... Hugs Elissa

i\'m glad your mom was loving.i had a mom that shared embers but not to help neighbors start a fire. she was one that shut down that loving part u refer to in your writing. although we aren\'t close today, i\'ve forgiven her for this. i believe she did best that she could. & now that i am a mom i had made mistakes too. but i am happy to say i believe i have broken that generational curse in my family by doing much better with my own children (Patrick-18, & Hannah-16). we\'re not without problems, but i do have a relationship with them, & they know I love them. that\'s the kind of mom i\'ve tried to be. i\'m so glad you had a caring mom like that.

THANKYOU ELISSA, YOU KNOW MY MAMA AND I USE TO WATCH LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE TOGETHER WHEN I WAS A KID AND WHAT MICHEAL SAID IS TRUE.
HEY YOU KNOW WHAT, WHEN I WAS A BABY WE WERE SOMEPLACE NOT SURE WHERE I THINK IN RENO ANYWAY, MAMA AND DAD WERE STANDING IN LINE WHERE MICHEAL WAS DOING A AUTOGRAPPH SIGNING HE WAS SIGNING PICTURES OF HIMSELF AS LITTLE JOE ON HIS HORES FROM BONANZA. WHEN WE GOT UP THERE HE ASKED MY MAMA IF HE COULD HOLD ME BECAUSE HE JUST LOVED BABIES, SO SHE LET HIM AND HE SAID I WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STRAWBERRY BLONDE BABY HE HAD EVER SEEN THEN KISSED MY CHEEK AND HANDED ME BACK TO MAMA... I WAS KISSED BY ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTING GODS KNOWN TO MAN... HA! THAT MUST BE WHY I\'M SO WONDERFUL...LOL NAW, MAMA\'S THE REASON I\'M SO WONDERFUL BUT IT NEVER HURTS TO HAVE MICHEAL LANDON KISS YOU... MAMA NEVER WASHED MY CHEEK AGAIN AND NEITHER HAVE I. YES SHE DID AND SO HAVE I, BUT SHE USED TO TELL ME THAT MY FRECKLES WERE ANGEL KISSES... NOW I WONDER HOW SHE KNEW MICHEAL LANDON WOULD BECOME AN ANGEL LONG BEFORE HE DIED.. WHAT WAS THAT SHOW HE DID? HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN? ((THINKING) NO NOT THE SONG ELISSA! THE TV SHOW.. LOVE YOU AND THANKS FOR ALWAYS THINKING OF ME. *KIMMIE

1 Cor 13:13

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
