I hope my computer is going to be working better... Its been stalling something terrible...  I called the cable company and while I'm waiting to speak to a tech... you always have to wait... we know that... I think they are trying to encourage us to be more patient... you know patience is a virtue... My mother used to pray that the Lord would grant me paitence... in a hurry... *Smile*  ok so while I'm waiting to speak to the tech they have as part of their recorded message info that says if you're having trouble with accessing the internet or surfing...  Is checking email and coming here to DS enough internet activity to qualify me as a surfer or must I go to porn sites and chat rooms...  just kidding yall... so again... I digress... so it says if you're having problems shut down your computer and disconnect the plug for your cable box thing that connects you to the internet for about 15 seconds... and it resets your cable connection... and voila' I am doing well...  With bad weather our cable has been knocked out several times the last couple of weeks...  I found out a disadvantage of having your phone through the cable company... If the cable is out... so is the phone..... grrrrrrrrrr  That really is a drawback.... We lost power and cable during Katrina but never lost the phone which enabled us to keep in touch with anxious family members...  I'd go back to AT&T but they keep advertising this $99 special for direct TV, phone, and internet connection... but I've heard a lot of people say direct TV seemed great when they first got it but either the satelites are moving or something because the picture seems to get fuzzier every day...  and AT&T is also advertising different levels of speed for their DSL... so I figure any package deal... they may call it DSL but it will probably be like dial up...  and most folks will tell you... one you get used to faster connections it is sooooooooo hard to go back..... Anyhoo... the reason I was sharing all that is if you have cable and your internet is dragging... maybe that would help fix it... So far mine is doing fine... Crossing my fingers... I went back and highlighted the part that you might actually have found useful in red...  Of course you may get a kick out of picturing me sitting here old grandma watching porn and chatting trash... LOL  That makes me think of a funny...  Michael was around 16 and he called one of those 1-900 lines... After the usual hell raising... I'm sorry but what else do they expect... oh by the way we refused to pay and had a block put on our phone...  because they were supposed to have put a block on the phone when we had it installed in 2001... anyhoo... so I couldn't help it... I had to tease Michael... I told him, "for goodness sake Michael... don't you realize the women you're talking to are fat old grandmas like me and they're probably sitting there with their teeth out saying oh baby... you are so hot...  blah blah blah....  Heck Michael I can do that... maybe I should start running a 1-900 line... "  and Richard and I both just laughed our fool heads off... hmmmmmm maybe I should get mad at Richard... seems like he shouldn't have gotten so tickled about that... after all he tells me he thinks I'm all that and then some... LMAO   Oh well... I'll never know if it cured Michael... since we put a block on the phone... but I bet I was telling the truth... what ya think...Okay... something serious... Katmac had sent me this in a hug... and its so true I wanted to share it...  We are interwoven, my child and I, like the fingers we twine together while walking, while sharing joy or heartbreak. My child is the core of my heart, that for which my heart beats. My child is that part of my soul that reaches out and touches God. To me this is poetic... and so true... It made me think of a grief recovery exercise tip I read from Griefshare... I don't remember the exact reading but close enough... It said that when you lose a loved one you grieve not only the loss of the earthly presence of that person... but also all the roles that person played in your life... It encourages us to remember and grieve the loss of all those roles that person played in our lives...  So I did that and then I rejoiced all the many roles Cara played in my life...  So as I thought yes Cara and John... my children... are the core of my heart... they are what my heart beats for...  I have many loves in my life... none greater than the love for my children...  And I remember anew... Cara was like a bright shining light for me and all who knew her...  For me she was love... She did always make me feel she loved me... She was my first born... She was my baby girl... She was strength for me... She was Love... and that's just a few of the things she was... She is still all those things... some only in memory... but she is still love and strength and light for me beyond all others...  Yes I'm crying... but I'm not sorry to share... and honestly I'd encourage you to share if you think it would feel good and right for you... Thanks Katmac... Love to all of you  Elissa

Cable companies...make you wanna scream, don\'t they? I know, I worked for one for 8 years! :o) Even as an employee, the cable in my own home would plumb piss me off...I\'d complain, the guys would come, drink my beer, and NEVER fix my problem...I think they kept my cable messed up on purpose!?! LOL
The part of what you said to your son about the 900 #? Dear Lord, I am LMAO!!!!!!!! That\'s EXACTLY what my friend Robin said to her boys...still LMAO...I\'ve got to tell her this one, she will just loose it, you two are SOOOOO much alike! :o)...oh, sounds like Robin\'s hubby and yours are alike as well, because Jim found it hilarious when she told their boys that too!!! MEN, can\'t live with \'em, CAN\'T live without \'em! :o)

I can tell you I\'ve had my share of seeing \"900\" numbers on bills and having them blocked raising 5 boys!!! In addition, at one point I put a block on the cable so they couldn\'t order movies. To this day not one of them has ever admitted to the ordering of a movie. It\'s always \"I didn\'t do it - did you ask [brother\'s name]?\" When there are 5, it\'s hard to pinpoint who was the culprit!

You\'re right about the pain with having your high-speed, cable, and phone all in one package. When the power goes out, you lose your phone. Last week I had weird power surges during a storm and lost our phone connection over 10 times!!!

What Katmac wrote was so wonderful. In my journal this morning I felt and wrote something similar about my son being my heart and soul.. Oh well.. all my love, Karen

Good Morning Elissa!!! I am almost caught up!!!! I found if I can get up early, and knock a bunch of people on my list, then there aren\'t new ones pouring in until afternoon or evening!! So this is my best oppurtunity!!! Yesterday we had a family BBQ at my brothers house. And my oldest brother, the one Im not found of who abused me, has a set of identical twin girls who are only 4 months older than my 13 yr old were here from FL. SO it was weird seeing them They dont live with my BRO. They live with mom and step-dad in FL, my BRO lives up here in MASS! We see these girls about once a yr if we r lucky! But they both look like my sister Chelsea! And when their mom was pregnant with them, and I was pregnant with Ali, Aug of 93, that\'s when my sister got hit and killed. Their mother drove me a ways away to meet up with my mom to drive to Boston, to go to Mass General where Chelsea was. And they are 13 right now, my daughter Ali is 13 right now, and my sister was 13 when she died. So I really felt myself confused yesterday around the 3 of them, and the memory of it all. Like my brain was scrambled eggs! I couldn\'t seperate them all from Chelsea and what I was thinking about who. It was really ODD. I figured if anyone would understand the insanity of it, YOU WOULD! Thank You for always bein there for me. Love U, Nichole
