The house is quiet... Not even Piper is needing me at the moment... He's become a pet me junkie... He looks so cute when he rises on his back legs and pats me with his paw and makes those little meow purr sounds saying pet me pet me...  At the moment he's asleep on our bed with Richard...  Sometimes he sleeps in the vanity sink of the second bathroom we hardly ever use...  Where ever we are... which ever one of us he decides to favor with his presence he can usually be found... He likes the wooden chair in front of the key board about 3 feet from where we sit when using the computer... or he'll stretch out on the dining room floor when I'm reading at the table...  A lot of times when I'm typing at the computer he'll get to feeling neglected... He'll do the little kid stretching out his paw to get mom's attention... so I pick him up and cuddle and pet him a bit and he looks quite smug and contented...  I wonder if he is happy with us..  Does he think about the family or families he lived with before coming to live with us... Actually he seems to be quite content with being an only child... *Smile*  My grandkids were here for about 4 hours last Sunday... They stopped andBen, Jamie Ben's sister, and her husband Brian cooked supper.. Hey... I enjoyed it...  Anyway... Piper checked them out a bit and then disappeared until they left... He doesn't like sharing our attention...  Anytime I open a door whether its to a room, closet, or cabinet he does his best to slip in and see what's behind the door... he hates closed doors...  He's got himself caught in a closet a time or two... but he hasn't lost his desire to know what's behind door number 1, 2, 3 etc etc etc... I was feeling a bit depressed earlier... As is often the case...  comes and goes... I wondered if I was about to lose my new found peace regarding Cara... but I thought about it... I seemed ok... and I'm feeling a bit easier now... It just seems to be a part of my life...  Not all bad... Not all good... It just is...  I guess I'll try to sleep before long... I doubt I will for awhile... its ok... maybe I'll get something useful done...  Hope everyone is having a good weekend... Hugs Elissa

Hi Elissa, My cat hates it when I\'m on the computer. He jumps up on the hutch and throws things at my head. Maybe some day I\'ll learn not to put things up there.

That\'s it Elissa in a nut shell. Not all bad, not all good, it is what it is. Keep the peace my friend. Know that Cara would want it that way. It gives me hope for myself. Lots of hugs, Jake\'s mom, Kathy

Elissa,
I loved the story about Piper. When did you get a cat? I\'m really, really far behind in writing on here. I\'ve been working on my house.
It was being neglected, like Piper, except my house can pat me on the leg with it\'s paw. So, How are you? I\'m trying to get my certification paperwork together so I can take my test in September.
I\'m getting excited and nervous at the same time as I\'m a horrible testing person. I have A.D.D. and need a very quiet place to test. I don\'t know if they will give me that and a little extra time to do the test. I get both at college due to my disorder.
So, take care and glad to hear you are finding some peace after Cara\'s accident.
I\'m getting some peace after losing Mom. I\'ll have more when my house is pulled together and my back bedroom is finished. The floor is in and the painting is done, but I don\'t know how to assemble mini blinds so, I need help with them. I do find some calmness within me now though.
Take care and lots of love to you,
Betty
