Thanks for listening... I got some meds for Piper.... Unfortunately tomorrow I have to go in for an angiogram... and possibly they'll do some kind of intervention then if need be.... so I won't be home to bring him to the vet if he's not better... I'm wondering how people feel after an angiogram... If its not too rough I could bring Piper Sat morning....  Its just too much to see him so lethargic... just a few days ago he was eating grass and I told Richard to let him be... he wanted to stop him.... but I always heard if a dog or cat eats grass its because they are sick and it helps them... I wish he'd eat grass now... he won't eat shrimp... I've tried everything... thinking if I could get him eating what ever is bothering him might be pushed out with his stool....

Anyway... I'm fine...  but if anyone has had or knows someone who's had an angiogram I'd appreciate knowing maybe what I'm looking at as far as how I'll feel after... how soon before I can get back to doing what I do...  Hey it ain't much but its my not much to be doing....

Oh... I have to share some news with yall... I had written Robert Munsch a letter... He's the author of I'll Love You Forever... a book that kind of was the centerpiece for what I wrote and read at Cara's funeral... I wanted to tell him thank you for writing the book and tell him that it had been part of some special memories for me and my kids...  So... today I got a package in the mail from Mr Munsch...  Inside was a copy of the book... (I have one but this one is very special...)  Inside he wrote To Elissa  In memory of Cara Lee Parks Buras....  Yes I reread it... every word... and yes I cried...  as you can imagine I'm so terribly grateful....

Love to all of you.  Hugs Elissasmiley-kiss.gif  I decided to put my brightest red lipstick on as I go forth to face the enemy... LOL

Hi Elissa! Okay a couple of things....
Try giving your kitty some chicken broth. Heat it up but let it cool a little before you feed him. That should flush his system.
Now the Angiogram....I had one and it isn\'t too bad at all if there is no blockage. They give you a little something and knock you out...I was scared to death (no pun intended) but then again I\'m such a coward. Once you come to you are as right as rain! No pain, no worry. Of course I was hungry! I got out the next day. I had no blockage. He put me on two different meds one for my heart and one for choleserol. That\'s it. I left the hospital and went food shopping. Lipstick don\'t help they make you take it off AND your jewlery too. I had them place tape over my wedding ring so I didn\'t have to remove it. Don;t forget to yell \"COWARD\" they are very good with lily livard chicken shits! Good luck and PLEASE let me know how you make out! Love Ya, Kathy

Elissa, My husband had that, I agree with Katmac, thats how it went with him. About that book, I remembered the first time I read it, I was not expecting to cry, wonderful book, I bought a copy for Shannon when Joey was born, now I have two. The cat, now this is a tough one. I am an animal lover and I know full well how expensive they are. I have two cats and a dog. Piper needs to see a Vet. I don\'t know how big your town is, can you try calling the S.p.c.a. for advice on Vets who will work on a sliding scale, or do you have a Friends of Animals group? Can someone in the family just get in the phone book and start calling until they find one with a heart? He is sick, and I would at least try giving him water with a syringe. I\'m sorry, this is the last thing you need to worry about now. I hope someone helps you so you don\'t have to worry about this right now. Love, Dianne

I really appreciate how helpful yall are... Thank You a million times... I\'m getting ready to go give Piper some water with a syringe... I just can\'t stand not doing anything for him... if he\'s not better and I can get out Sat. I\'ll get him to a vet come hell or high water... I\'m practicing my coward yodel as we speak yall... LOL
Hugs To Everyone and again Thank You... I\'ll see yall as soon as I get back. Elissa

Elissa,
You go girl! Also, what\'s wrong with your dog?
I\'m really good with animals and can sometimes figure it out.
Did you have any spray on the grass he ate?
If so, please get him to the vet\'s for an antidote to the spray as it may poison him.
But, if not, then, it\'s something else.
Also, once when my old gardener was at my house, he put down pellets for the roses and my dog ate them and he was terribly sick, but the vet saved him.
So, consider those things and let me know.
Love,
Betty

WOW that\'s awesome!!! I would have been so excited to get that from someone like him!! You must feel so special.
I hope your kitty feels better. I took my kitten in and paid 32 dollars to have a tech look at a baby tick on her feet and tell me in was nymphs (newborn ticks). I can not afford vets at all. It\'s so expensive!!! So I can\'t help u with advice. I only go in an emergency!!! I hope your angiogram went well and u feel ok. Love Nichole
