If faith offends you... you may not want to read this... My faith in God is all that sustains me and I'm not letting go... I'm hanging on with both hands Lord and I thank you for your presence in my life.
Emotions during grief do not occur in an orderly fashion. You cannot follow a checklist and mark off the emotions you are finished with and then move on to the next. They come suddenly and unpredictably.
"People ask me, 'How are you doing?' And I say, 'Wonderful.' One moment I'm sobbing uncontrollablyI carry Kleenex around in my pocketand the next moment I'm so exhilarated with joy with all that God is doing in my life," says Dr. Jim Conway.
Circumstances will change. People will change. Surroundings will change. But the Bible leads you to the one sure thing: "I the LORD do not change" (Malachi 3:6).
Almighty, unchanging God, I grasp on to Your hand as my emotions confuse and overwhelm me. You alone cannot be moved, and I am confident that as long as I remain in You, I, too, will not be moved. Amen.
I had to laugh about the kleenex... kleenex??? I don't think so... I need paper towels... heavy napkins... a towel for goodness sakes... when I cry I bawl... its not a pretty sight... ahhh well... one day at a time...
Love to all of you. Elissa

Elissa, this is wonderful - and your commentary only adds to it. I agree, the superplush bathsheet could maybe do it. Wonder if we could buy in bulk and get a discount? :)
I too believe in the power of God. I have asked for certain things and have received all I asked for. I have been praying for someone to help my ex-husband. Monday nite that prayer was answered. God and our loved ones work in mysterious ways. I believe they also at times work hand in hand. I know Jake lives on, I know Jake is with God, I know Jake is with my loved ones who went before him. This I know. This helps comfort me. As for the kleenex, I am so tired of pulling little pieces of my face or not knowing they are there and someone tells me. Lots of hugs, Jake\'s mom, Kathy
Elissa, thanks for a great message for the beginnning of this weekend. I concurr with the kleenex... and have found that I have a hand/dish towel handy at all times LOL,but the idea of the bathsheet in bulk could work.....
Elissa, Just had to chuckle over what you said about Cara going to find Erick... lol he never like girls his own age!!! His first girlfriend was a year older, the next was also a year older, then the next one was two years older...so and so forth. The last beautiful girl that he was dating and so very happy with was much older(but the same age in spirit, and her love of life)she was 9 years older but looked the same age as Erick... we thought she was the same age for the longest time. So I had to chuckle out loud when I read that -- maybe they already have met each other and are laughing at us as well(could this be our sign for the day?). You can see the girlfriend in the New Years Eve picture - She is the cute girl he is with, she is holding her hand up with the ring on - nope not a engagement ring... just a joke, they wanted to make a Christmas Card for next year that read: Expecting Twins just send money!!
Hugs,
Vera
