I hesitate to write this in my journal for fear I might offend someone. I greatly respect the original author and am grateful for her words and ideas. For me to say don't cry though is really unacceptable... So with this in mind I hope you'll accept my changes as just another option for considering this...

CRY IF YOU NEED TO

You cry when you need to,
but know how I'm feeling when you do

Most of all, I want to comfort you,
Things haven't changed, I will always love you...

Cry if you need to, just want you to know I'm OK now,
No more pain and suffering, this I can avow.

Cry if you need to, I don't hurt anymore,
It's different here, a whole new world to explore.

Cry if you need to, sometimes you may be blue,
I'm your guardian angel now, Im watching over you.

I didn't want to leave you, I didn't want to die,
But if you could see me now, no more would you cry.

Really happy now, soaring with the winds,
I've learned a lot, made lots of new friends.

I'm finaly free, no more body wracked with pain.
Found you must leave the living, to freedom really gain.

Cry if you need to, somday you'll be with me,
Floating through the heavens, in God's eternity.

Cry if you need to, but I'm OK now.

I hope you find some comfort from this as I have. As far as saying don't cry mama... that's not exactly how I'd word it... I think our loved ones might tell us to cry if we need to and I think they might say that to any one of us... Mama, Daddy, sister, brother, friend...
Love To You and Yours Elissa

Wonderfully said. Why can\'t or why shouldn\'t we cry. When we lose a loved one we know they are in a better place, but we don\'t want them in a better place...we want them here with us because we love them so much. So yes, we find peace in knowing that they\'re in a better place but our hearts hurt and yearn for them...so yes, great version. God Bless you, stay strong! And keep in touch. *Big Hug*
