I do know Cara is with me, that she looks over my shoulder while I write. I can't wait till I can get some pictures put up... Cara is so pretty but she never really believed it... She'd have been pretty no matter what to me but she truly is very pretty. Inside and out.

When I went through all the roles Cara played in my life one I had to recall was gift giver... she loved to shop.... I hate shopping... and she was always buying something for me or other family members... Its not about the gift often they were small things that she just couldn't resist... she loved catching stuff on sale... and she'd share them with me... I have some rose scented glycerin soaps in a drawer in the bathroom that she gave me last... Anyway as I said its not about the gifts... it is that she made me feel so special... and as much as I may cry Cara I appreciate how much you made me feel loved. She and I both liked garage sales although she had a lot more energy for it then I did... I'd go to 3 or 4, then her Ben and the kids would go on to another half a dozen or so more... She's been very ill for some time so these memories are from several years ago...

My granddaughter Elizabeth cries so for her mama... I don't exactly know what to tell her except that her mama is with her always now more so than before and that she's not sick so she can take care of her better... but I understand... she wants her mama to hold her... Someday the kids will read my journal and I hope they'll even add some stuff. I miss them too. I talk to them on the phone but its not the same. Sometimes I want to leave Baton Rouge and go back to Houma where I can see them and visit the family graves now and then... I may talk to Richard about it... he has so many activities here but I want to go home...

Dearest Carasmom, Home is where the heart is and if ur heart is in Houma, follow ur heart!
My heart aches for u right now. My 19 yr old daughter is away at college and her being my third and last child to leave home I felt my vry existence was swept away. She is my best buddy, my last reason for staying stable and I miss her so. Yes she\'ll be home for breaks but its not the same anymore. But u can\'t say that Cara will be physically beback home and thats where my heart goes out to u. As long as u know u can feel her prescence with u must be ur saving grace.
When my daughters grandpa died (she was 4) it was so hard to comfort her, they were very close, being a small child it is so hard to comprehend death. This little \"story\" helped her emensely - I told her to look up into the sky at night before she went to sleep at the stars and if u look hard enough there will always be a big, the brightest star up there, that would be grandpa letting u knowthat he is watching down over you, and if she saw a shooting star that would be grandpa playing with the angels (she got a real kick out of that!)so grandpa wasnt alone in heaven. It comforted her so and it gave us a peaceful, calm bedtime routine. Maybe u could call Elizabeth everynite at bedtime and u can both look out the window together.
Right now all u have are Caras memories and they sound so sweet. Please take comfort in them. She sounds so muchlike my sweet daughter, garage saleing, buying me things and sometimes it was her and her alone that made me feel loved. When all else, everyone else, failed, it was my daughter who always, always and still does , make me feel so loved!

some days will be good for you, some not so good, but find peace where you can. Be good to yourself - im here anytime to listen and maybe help u feel a bit better. Love and a big ole hug to you!!!

I met a lady who told me about her daughter she lost about 25 yrs ago. She left 2 small children and a husband. This lady said that she got all her daughters pictures together from the time she was born up to her death and made two scrapbooks and gave one to each of her grandchildren so that they wouldn\'t forget their mother. I thought that was a great idea. Maybe that is something you could do for your grandchildren and it will help them when they began to miss their mom.
Hope that you have a blessed day in the Lord.

Follow your heart, if you must go then go. If it is the right thing to do your husband will understand.
