My children are grown living their own lives. As you may have read my daughter passed over fairly recently. Oddly enough she is with me more now than before. I still wish she were on this side because the thought of not hugging her or seeing her is hard... but I'm glad she's ok. I do try to keep in touch with my son and his family... his wife, my daughter in law Liz, is a God Send. My son too is supportive but he doesn't like mushy... still he gives me a little slack. I love him for all that he is and all that he isn't so its ok. My stepson Michael and I are getting along at this time although we have had some issues in the past so my trust is shaky... Like Johnny Cash said "and I still miss someone" I guess that is the way its always going to be whether they are this side of heaven or the other. Its basically supposed to be that way I guess... Many times I think we in modern times lament the invention of modern transportation and the impact it has on the family... To put it in good old country girl talk... I wish sometimes we still lived and died and never traveled much over 8 miles from there our whole lives... Families were closer... we think... but actually I've heard some pretty horrific stories about those times... remember ideas didn't travel as fast either... in the early 1900's my deceased husband told me when his dad was a boy his father who did not believe in celebrating Christmas filled that little boy's stocking with horse poop... Young John Wilson had heard about Christmas from more cosmopolitan classmates and even though his dad told him to forget it he found an old stocking and hung it hoping just hoping that Santa would bring him a little something... so our worlds have broadened... not all for the good not all for the bad....

Because all eras have their share of good and bad.......... it\'s just that the good and the bad change along with everything else.......
But you do sound like you\'ve found some peace and that is deffinately part of the good!
