A comment I wrote in response to a young woman's statement that she was sad... We are sad... but that's not the only thing we can feel... Its just taking a while to recognize that we still feel all the other emotions human beings feel.

I asked how she was getting along with her cousin... she said everyone is getting along but everyone is so different... everyone is sad all the time (my daughter Cara, her mother died Oct 30, 2006}. I wanted so much to hold Elizabeth at that moment but she's living about 75 miles from here... so I thought a moment and then I offered a thought I thought might help her... and maybe it will help you... I told her that although I did agree we were all sad... we weren't sad all the time... for instance I was not sad hearing her voice... I was as I have always been filled with love and joy at the sound of her voice... I still am... Yes we are sad... we have a loved one who has moved from the earthly plane to the heavenly plane we are mourning... but for me... I'm not sad all the time. Hugs

Great comment to your grand daughter and others!! That\'s a great way to look at life. I too, know about sadness and I have learned the hard way when it comes to feeling sorry for myself and making the same mistakes over and over again. Sometimes life isn\'t fair and we have to pick ourselves up and just move on from that situation. Thank you for being so honest and caring with your grand daughter, I respect you more for that and you are a great lady. I\'m glad to know you and glad that you are a part of my life.
