This is a copy of a letter I wrote in response to a discussion topic...

I'm almost afraid to write but I feel I have to... My daughter didn't get anyone killed but herself... I wish you'd read my journal because I've been writing for several weeks now about my daughter's death and what's been going on for awhile now...

I don't know anything about the woman who caused the wreck in which your mother and sister were killed... I know that if it had been my mother and sister I might not be able to settle for anything less than revenge... but what about the future... could you help me make people understand that whether they have a loved one who is lost or are the victim of a lost child's illness we could do more working together than against each other... I do so want people to stand up to speak out... Alcohol and substance abuse are killing our loved ones... I personally favor forced intervention but we don't even have facilities for people who want help... Please I know you are hurting but if there comes a time you could help I would be so grateful...
