Update

Hands only burn a little bit right.  The weather just needs to stabilize.  Seems every time it gets warm, then cold again, my soreness spikes up.  I am more accurate than the freakin weather channel.  Time to switch jobs...lol.
I am still seeing a doctor in Maryland right now who is a wholistic doctor.  Currently taking doxycycline and ceftin everyday, along with a heavy dose of vitamins and probiotics.  Vitamin b12 shots three times a week.  Seems like every couple hours I am popping something.  I went to see a rheumatologist with UPMC because I wanted to make sure I am in with one I like in case my current treatment goes south.  I do like him and he said he did not witness enough swelling to recommend methotrexate.  He recommend I give plaquenil another shot.  scared to change up anything just yet because I am functional and I do not want to lose that.  I was so sick the last time I took the plaquenil.  I will try it again, it is just a matter of when.  figure give this another month then see how I feel and reassess.  Planning to try for another baby this year, so do not want to introduce meds that I will have to go off of a long time before trying to conceive.
Still having days of major crying spells over the fear.  Fear of the future and what I will be like.  Fear that I wont be able to raise my son.  Amazing that after I got diagnosed, how much I realized that really that is what I want most in life.  To teach him.  I use to think balancing my family, career and hobbies was the key to my happiness. Nope.  Just be able to care for my family is what I am all about.

pittRAlady, i know the fear of not wanting to change treatment when your \"good enough\", the Dr\'s dont go through months of suffering on a trial drug nor weigh the weight of obligations. I wish you the best and many more happy moments for you with your family
