A few days ago, Harrison said four very important words to my wife, "I love you, Mommy."  We were reading his night time books (actually, he was reciting them out of memory) when he came to those words.  I would have thought he was merely reciting those words, but he said them as he looked (and smiled) at my wife.  She started to cry, and it didn't really register at first that this was the first time Harrison has ever said this to her.  Although Harrison hasn't, up to this point, verbally expressed his love for me and my wife, he does other things, whether it be a hug, kiss, or cuddle.  We know that he loves us, and that is the important thing.Earlier that day, Harrison sought out my wife to give her a hug and kiss, another first.  It has such an emotional impact on me and my wife when Harrison does such things.  We've always had hope for his development, and when he does things like this, it greatens this sense of hope exponentially.Harrison did have a pretty severe crying fit, but it actually encouraged me.  The school van had just dropped him off after preschool, and I was holding him as the van drove off.  He started to cry and say, "School bus all gone; school bus go bye-bye."  He's done this before, but he usually stopped once we got inside and started watching his favorite "Signing Times" DVD.  But even that and a glass of chocolate milk couldn't soothe him.  He just kept crying and saying, "School all done; school go bye-bye."  It took about ten minutes and lots of hugs to finally get him settled down.  He really seems to like both the school van (bus) and school very much.  Transitioning to different environments has always been an issue for him, except this time.  We may have found his niche; we may have found that thing that may accelerate both his development and our hope.  This past week has been a week of hope, not new hope or old hope, but a combination of all our hope taken to new heights, new places we never even knew existed.  He is such a special little boy, and he makes it so easy to love.

Harrison has really come a long way! It\'s so fantastic to read about his development. Truthfully, I read these Journals and they sound like a mirror on Sacha. I remember the same moment when our son first expressed a deep, personal feeling and the overwhelming impact it imparted on my wife and me. I can\'t wait to read about his next accomplishment.
