I'm a little worried. My dog hasn't been eating for the past few days. I had been feeding him Iams dog food, but I thought it was only the canned and moist food that was tainted with that chemical. My neighbor has the same thing happen to her dog, who happened to eat the same dry food. Her dog died this past winter, and she (along with her vet) thinks it was the dog food. I gave my dog a different brand, and he ate it immediately. It's good to see him have an appetite, but I'm still worried. Pets are just like members of the family.
My wife spoke to somebody who had pulled their child out of the same daycare provider that we used to have. It just so happens that our previous provider had two more children (after mine) pulled out in a two week period. Hearing this didn't make me feel so bad about changing my son's environment. I guess that parental instinct thing really does work. Our early interventionist also visited while he was still there and recommended that we change daycare, so we have her to also thank. Our current daycare provider is great! Yesterday, my son actually ate something for lunch. He also played in the sandbox "with" another child. She said it looked more like parallel play to her, but I guess you have to start somewhere. I just glad that she takes the time to notice these things.
The weather has been great lately, and my son loves going outside. He will lead me to the door and say, "I go outside". He also loves playing with the dog, which is why I'm so worried if something should happen to him. Another thing we have been working with him on is saying, "I want...." when he wants something. He is starting to use those words, but only when prompted. Initiating conversation or requests still seems to be a problem. It's another challenge to conquer (and there are many), but it's another challenge that my son and I will conquer together.

I am glad you changed schools and feel you did the right thing! I think all that kids your sons age do right now is parallel play and that is terrific! Yea!!!!
