My legs have a weird sentation .. numbing stinging pain and twitch; I find myself having to move and stretch them. The pain is tiresome but keeps me awake too. I am on meds to try and get it to stop. The dr. said it can take up to two weeks for the meds to work; It is helping some thus far. The rotten thing about this restless leg is that regular pain meds and noninflammatory do NOT work. The dr. gave me a two week sample pack of a med called "Requip" for restless leg. I have a new book on sumie and have been practicing from it. I need to grind some ink; i have just been painting with my watercolors. I have not been so inclined to paint with the Chinese watercolors chips becasue one of the colors had too much binder in it and ruined a good sumie paint brush. The company sent me new color chips but i have yet the try the replacement color. I need to get with it and I will use a junk brush first and see what happens. I am also switching from Grum. watercolor to Windsor Newton. Every couple of weeks or so I pick up one or two new tubes of color. For xmas I am going to get a set of Daniel Smith Granulating paints. I had an opportunity to try the granulating watercolor paints and they are quite nice. I also got to try M.Graham watercolors too. I will likely get three tubes of M. Graham for xmas too... a red, yellow and blue hue of each. I am having to learn how to cope with the tbi and recoveries from the series of none related surgeries one being the hysterectomy. But the restless leg mess has me at my ends. I am pushed to my limit and am not able to do much. But I have done the next best thing and that has been to hire help as well as have some volunteers college students help me accomplish shopping, gardening, and even reading to me.

It sounds like you are really trying to do your best, where others would have surely given up. You\'re still managing to get stuff done, even help with the activities that make you feel good like gardening and reading :)
Your painting sounds facinating though. I can\'t wait to see something, anything!
The restless legs has got to be overwhelmingly frustrating. I\'d start the two-week countdown! I\'ll say a little prayer the meds work. Keep fighting, don\'t give up and keep being you; your a diamond in the rough. kim
i\'m thinking of you..positive energies sent your way my friend.. your painting is such good therepy.. :)
Hey, I don\'t remember if you are on Cymbalta or not but when they increased my dose of it, I got restless leg syndrome. It is miserable to have because when you can\'t sleep it makes matters worse. Talk to your doc and see if there are any meds that cause it. I know that RLS is something that isn\'t necessarily caused by meds but if it came out of nowhere, it is a good place to start to find out what is going on.
