If I had the power to heal. I would be fair and heal everyone. Even the God I believe in does not do that. I am struggilng with my faith in God that allowes too much free will for sickness and not enough answered prayers from heart wrenching pleas to Him.

After my son\'s fathers accident, he struggles with this as well. It is nothing I can explain to him. I hope that you can find peace in your soul.
Well, I suggest that you pray about it, I bet you already have prayed about it. The thing is that all the bad stuff on earth came from humans and was, unfortunately inspired by satan. God has given humans freedom, in the true sense of the word. I am not saying that you did anything bad to deserve this pain. Without suffering, there would be no compassion. Unfortunately, that is the ying and yang of life. If there was no darkness, how would we recognize the light in life. I dunno if that helped, but I will pray for peace in your heart and soul tonight. God Bless
To be honest, I turned my back on God for the first three months after my accident. I was so mad, like it was his fault. We reconsiled though.

It isn\'t fair. Sometimes a problem seems easier to handle when you can blame someone; like divorce. No matter whose right, you blame the other. Brain injuries and health problems? There is no one to blame - and that makes it so much harder to accept and deal with. You are in my prayers and I know there is an angel or two around you. peace & hugs/kim
ah, thank you guys, i need that. You are wonderful friends.
i to, was angry at GOD. still am, in a way. but i have learned to come to terms with it all. i have realized that i really don\'t have it so bad.
I KEEP REMEMBERING ABOUT MY BROTHER WHO IS IN A CONVALESCENT HOME. HE HAS CERABAL PALSY AND IS RETARDED. I LOVE HIM AND HIS \"PROBLEMS\" PUSH ME. IT HURTS ME, THAT I DON\'T SPEND AS MUCH TIME WITH HIM AS I USE TO, BECAUSE I AM MEDICATING SO MUCH. MY DAD SAID I SHOULD GO TO VISIT HIM WITH MACK, MY PUPPY AND TRY TO CHEAR HIM UP. HE ALWAYS LIKED DOGS. HOPEFULLY I CAN DO SO SOON.
My best friend lived with severe MS for years. For 10 years or so she couldn\'t move anything but her head and was able to only whisper. Then she choked and for the next 10 years was on a respirator and could only mouth words. I had to learn to lip read to talk to her. Although she would have loved to be \"normal\" she enjoyed the life she had.
She lived at home with her husband and had a caretaker who was also a friend. She got to spend time with her children and be a part of her grandchildren\'s lives. She was an active member of the church in that she listened to tapes of all services, was visited by members, and spent a lot of time in prayer for all. She was an excellent example of a real Christian.
I mention her because here because she was finally healed. . The Lord took her to heaven. There she has a body that works perfectly.
God does heal everyone who belongs to Him. He does it in His own time in His own way.
And in the meantime He provided her with a life filled with joy and fulfillment, in spite of overwhelming odds.
A fellow DS by the name of Wag wrote to me: \"What is our purpose here on earth? To prosper here, gain wealth, be happy, own possessions, etc.... or is it to gain God? How do we become dependent on God if not by need?\"
I sure know where you\'re coming from on that one. I\'m sorry you\'re in so much pain.
Take care. Feel better...
I think it is normal to question and be angry with God at times. I have questioned and been very angry with Him after the last 7 months. But I am seeing growth in myself through this trial and that in itself shows how much He loves us. He wants us to trust completely in Him and not try to do it on our own.
I pray you feel better soon. I would take your pain if I could :0)Gentle hugs, Joleen
