I am going to post this open to all in case the info might be helpful:  You guys know I am a calm soul but right now I am so mad, The red face not doing good kind of mad.  I have been sick with several issues but there has been an underling something still causing me so much disturbance, distress and .pain, weakness, brain fog, constipation ,  abdominal problems, figernails are sick (had to have three acryliced); can not tolerate too hot or too cold temperature/weather changes,  starving all the time, very bad dry skin, and scalp,  lips chap .having pre-menopause's symptoms, .. Worst period cramps ever, and cycle is not normal, trouble with weight lose/gain (have to eat like a bird);  No interest in marriage activities, the weakness and the hunger are the worst for me.  I have been to the dr. with abdominal pain for most.  My dr. tells me I am constipated go home and take Milk a Magnesium   I leave the office in tears; I know there is something more wrong.   I have trouble concentrating and remembering but that is due to the tbi, some of it yes but is it all related to that? I tire easily but again that seems normal for a tbi survivor.   I just had blood work to check for enema and thyroid issues.  I will know the results at the end of the week.  If they do not tell me anything I am going to the nutritionist at the health food store and talking what to do; as I strongly suspect the thyroid.  I looked up on the internet the symptoms of thyroid and I have most of the symptoms!!!  Why did the drs not listen to me?!  I was telling them my symptoms.  My symptoms are right down the list! of thyroid issues.  I had to find out from the internet.  And get this tbi survivors are highly prone to thyroid iand adrinal ssues from so much trauma!!!   Why did my dr. not know this or conceder this if he knew!!!  The info is all over the internet.  You guys I am still about DS tbi support board but I may not be as active this month til I get this heath issue deal with.  I am really struggling.  The weakness holds me down like a sumo wrestler;  I am not going any where fast. This link talks about hormone, adrenal, and thyroid issues: http://www.womentowomen.com/default.aspx

After years and years and many many tests and many many different doctors, for many different symptoms and severe pain, my husband finally came upon a doctor who happened to test his thyroid. He has been on the thyroid med for about 6 mos now. It takes a very long time to work because of all the damage that has been done throughout the years. I am really really mad at all those stupid drs. It took a young girl fresh out of med school to think of doing this test.

DEMAND the simple blood test.
