It has been a busy couple of days trying to engage in life. It is that time of the year for the fair. I have been planning all year to enter Baklava in the fair. I have been on the hunt for a good tasting honey. I used an Itaian Orange Blossom Honyey last year and only came in third place. So that Italian Honey has been rated red ribbion quality and I have been on the hunt for a honey that taste Best of show purple-blue ribbon quality. I found a honey locally from Ramsy's Farm. It has a nice rich color and after tasting it I wanted another taste . Even thought we are sick and have brain issues we still try to engage in life and find enjoyment. I went to prayer shawl minsitry and then came home at noon. I was exausted and rested. After lunch I started preping the Baklava. I have the prep down to 30 minutes but there is no short cuts to cooking it. It takes 3 to 5 hours to cook. The weather as it is, Must have make it be a long cooking; the two baches cooked 4 to 5 hours. I am also started sketches of tulips. I am excited about this project. It is a requested painting from a friend. It also will be around a 9"x12 " Painting. This is a big project for me; as since my accident I have been painting post card size paintings. Most of the painting you see on my photo blog are post card size. The reason for the post card size is becasue I have to paint quickly and finish a painting with in a day or two. I tire quicly too so I need to work small. My brain and seeing are healing and Changing constantly that it is difficult to return to a painting and work on it after a few days; I can not match up the brain changes in stlye. This project will be a challage; but I believe it is one that God has orchestrated to stretch me into working on a larger canvis. I worry of course how it will turn out and if it will look good enough. I am going to try very hard. The sketches are looking good. A friend is coming over today to help with errands. I need to go the the paint store for some watercolors, and i would like to either go to the chrioprator for a message or take a cat to the vet. (Benjamin and Hobs are sitting on the ottoman infront of the glass door watching the outside world.) The universty has an out reach program to the commninty. I called and signed up. A college student will come every other Thursday to help me with errands, go for coffee, company, visit thrift shops..etc.Take care dear ones
