Thanks for your tip on showering, Dennis. My name is Andrea. I already have hand rails, but have arthritis and a tear under my knee cap, so balancing is practically impossible.
Anyway, it is hard to cope, isn\'t it. I have to tell you, bad thoughts have entered my mind sometimes. But, I rely on the Lord. And, I distract myself from self-pity with prayer, calling friends or watching a good movie.
You can call on me any time if you need a kind word or understanding. My surgery was on May 6th, what about you?
09/09/09 I get my revision done to cut the peroneal nerve that runs behind my knee. They are going to cut about a inch off in hope of making the socket fit better with less pain. I do hope that it works.
