Wow!
We have been so busy trying to get everything in order these past few weeks. Sure do miss all of you, I have so much catching up to do!!!
I have made a consciece effort to stay away from DS because I have been focusing on my new job and I don't want to think about the Holidays this year. How selfish is that? I just do not want to deal with them at all.
My Father, Bless his heart, came to my house this past week-end and took all of my children and grandchildren to Alabama with him for Thanksgiving at his house. I almost cried when he showed up, what a blessing!
The casino has not opened up yet but it should in the morning if all goes well with the gaming people. Our dept. is fullty ready, will be putting money in the racks in the morning...finally...what a long wait it has been too. Lots of patience and tond to learn. I have enjoyed every step of the journey so far.
Wayne loves his job, he loves the distraction just like me. We actually talked about it the other day. How much easier it was not to have to deal with anything too severe right now other than work. Poor Alexsis has had her hands full, she was extremely grateful for the trip to AL too. They had a great dinner with all the trimmings, my Dad, I think I'll keep him!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, well...as good as can be expected. I made a pot of 15 bean soup with ham hocks and corn bread, and it put a smile on our faces. Wayne had to work but I had the day off.
I lit my candle and talked to my girl, told her all the cool things about the new job and about how much we missed her as always. Love to you all, will talk more in the future. Hugs and loves.

Hi,
So nice to hear from you, although I have had issues and still am with the site. The server has randomly chosen me to hit, so I don\'t get my messages, any journal entries, etc.. I found this morning that I can take what they call \"the scenic route\" and then click on everyone on my \"friends list\" individually and then scroll down to see the last journal entry. I get comments to my journal entry through the scenic route as well.
I have been thinking about you and MayLyna bunch, and wondering how everything is going. Glad to hear that all is well, and you sound like it is just what you needed. So glad for you. Sometimes, the distraction is welcomed and healthy. It sure sounds like it is for you. Take care, my friend. Love, Dawn
Sound like you had a nice break. we all need distractions , sometimes it is the only thing that gets me through the day.hugs, Inga
I knew you would be really busy getting ready for your move and your new job-I am glad you like it, Love, Sandy
What a GREAT Dad! I\'d keep him too. Love the 15 bean soup and cornbread...may have to go home and make some for tomorrow\'s dinner, always better the next day - Right! Your not selfish you are BUSY there is a difference and it\'s a good difference... makes it possible to move a few steps forward into the New Normal. Hugs, Vera~Erick\'s mom P.S. I was married in 1982 in Las Vegas, my hometown! Casinos, Las Vegas, marriage... coincidence I think NOT!
Distractions are good...but beware with reality rears itsself...I am here when tht day comes, just drop a little note.
Glad things are doing so well, glad your Dad is your Dad and that your family is so loving and supportive.
Take care,
Ann
