We went swimming over to Donnett's house and what a group we had there. Hunter, Tina Donnett and myself and a few others too. I actually hate swimming, but only because of how my body has taken a lack of shape in my 40's. I am always working on a new way to shape up, walking running and exercising and such. I am very critical of how I look, always have been and always will be I guess.I decided to get into the pool and cruise around with the kids for a few. I was doing the lay flat on your back and just float around having a good time and soaking up some sun....when...a butterfly landed on my chest, yes, on my chest! It sat on the edge of my swimsuit forever. The kids went nuts over it, they were swearing up and down that is was their Mommy coming to check on them and go swimming with them. Oh how that made me cry.All on their own they have decided that butterfly's are the messengers for their Mommy to the rest of us. When their Mommy passed and we went to Alabama to bury her, it was April and the Butterfly's were so prevalent. When we walked down to their (MayLyn and Kevin and the kids) house that first evening we were there, the whole front porch of their house was covered with butterfly's. Hundreds of them, all colors and sizes and shapes. Our mouths dropped open as we stood in the driveway looking up at the porch. I personally had never seen such a sight in my life, and I knew the kids had never seen anything like it either. It was a beautiful experience for all of us, and I am grateful for it. I have gone home eah April since her death and waited for the same event with no luck as of yet. The butterfly's are everywhere but we have not seen them lite on the porch since. Maybe it was MayLyn's message to her babies to have something beautiful to associate her with. The children love butterfly's more than anything now, they are everywhere all the time, moths included. They see them all the time it seems. I know I look at them differently now, I catch myself talking to them and for the most it seems as though they listen to me. And I cry, and cry, specially after one seems to pay too much attention to what I am saying. I find I look forward to the spring just to see the really large Monarchs flying around.Oh well, I just wanted to share something beautiful from my life with all of you special people in my life today. I am battling with some serious depression this week, not sure why yet, maybe it was the visit home that brought it on. Sitting at MayLyn's resting place always makes me feel so useless and hopeless. I know that's not the truth, it is just an emotion, one I am learning how to deal with one day at a time. Today it is just more prevalent than yesterday. All my hugs and prayers to you all, be happy and be safe.Love Jacqueline PLHMayLyn's Momma

Jacqueline, that is a beautiful gift from MayLyn. She wants you to know she is ok. It is beautiful where she is and wants you to know that. I understand the depression, these past couple of weeks have been the hardest for me yet. But we will get through this together. Lots of hugs, Jake\'s mom, Kathy
What a beautiful experience! I too look at butterflies much differently now. MayLyn is always close by. Hugs to you and the kids.

I was there with my mom and the kids, it was amazing. There were also Tea Cup Roses growing wild around her home, Roses we had never planted.
We had the property since \"Pre-Civil War\" period, in which I had never seen them grow that fast. It was literally over-night, and the butterflies....they were everywhere. I seen a butterfly encircling the kids alone, everytime we walked outside...and even to this day..there is always one or two=)~~
