Greetings,
I had to share this with you because of a message that was sent to me yesterday about " positive energy." One of my DS friends sent me a hug full of "Positive Energy.' I loved it and appreciated it as always.
Yesterday we had a very small, very powerful storm come right over our neighborhood around 9:00 AM.
My grandson Hunter had invited the twins next door to spend the night with him and they were just getting up, Wayne was just getting out of the shower, Alexsis and her two daughters were asleep in the back bedroom and I was just about to fall asleep in my bedroom next to the girls when it hit us, actually it (lightening) hit the transformer at the end of my driveway
There was a huge crack and the loudest clap of thunder I have ever heard.
The boys were in the front room and had just turned on the play station to occupy themselves till Alexsis got up.
Now what I tell you all happens in the next probably 25 seconds to a minute.
All the boys came and dove into my bed screaming "Mimi, Mimi! What was that?"
They had seen the actual bolt hit the power pole at the end of our driveway and saw the voltage protector fly off the pole into the frontyard broken. My whole house was compleetly covered in electricity surging out of every light socket in my house for at least 5 seconds, maybe 10.
Wayne was bent over the sink brushing his teeth and water dripping off him onto the floor, he saw the electricity come out of the light socket and crawl down the wall across the floor straight to his foot (he felt it) and he promptly fell backwards into the room swearing he just saw his life pass before his eyes, makes me feel his chest with my hand where his pounding heart was still beating, Thank God!
We had no power that day and the heat index with the humidity here was 103* so it was really hot and sticky.
But on the good side, we did alot of talking and playing with the kids, talking about MayLyn, reading and sleeping when we could stand to.
We took a few cold showers and the kids ended up going swimming at a friends house.
So when all is said and done...
It really was a very POSITIVE day for me and my whole family. We took a hit and we made it throught okay, we were really lUCKY.... And for that I give thanks to you know who...=0)
We laugh about it today, because the boy's were so cute when they were scared to death....you know what I mean. I gotta laugh, or I would probably cry and I do enough of that as it is.
Hunter is still a little scared, he thinks the storm might come back to get him, so we are currently woking on his confidence levels by teaching him a little about storms, and he sems to be really interested too.
     Have a great day =0)smiley-tongue-out.gif

Jacqueline, my husband is a master electrician and he is amazed that you made out as well as you did. Your husband was standing there wet, saw it coming and only got knocked down? He should have gotten thrown into the next county. Is there any doubt in your mind that MayLyn was protecting all of you? Their love never goes away, does it? God bless - Barbara
