Hi, my name is Joanne and I'm new to this site.
It was 100 days yesterday that my son, Aaron passed away suddenly in Thailand, where he had lived for the last 5 years. Most times it's too hard to even think the words let alone say them out loud. I still feel shock every time it hits me that he won't be coming home.

So Sorry for the loss of your son, I too lost my son suddenly, year 2006, April 15 Easter weekend. It takes alot of work and energy grieving the loss of children.. Oh, I\'m SO very sorry for this traumatic loss of your beloved son. I\'m always sorry when another mom has to join our group, yet grateful too that you found us.
Please take the most gentle care of yourself that you can and know that you will find sisterhood and so much understanding here.
I look forward to getting to know your son, Aaron and you.
Hand in hand and Heart to heart,
Joanie
We so understand the feelings of coming to terms with the realization of the loss of your child...
It is very hard...we are here and will listen.

Hello new friend.
My heart weeps with you for your dear son. Nothing shocks and devastates a mothers heart more completely than learning their precious child will never come home again. I\'m so very, very sorry. And to be in another country....that must be such an added layer of complication and pain for you.
My Kala left earth life at 17 due to a car accident. So I too know the shock of hearing such unbelievable news and how impossible it is to wrap our heads and hearts around it.
Please feel free to share as much....or as little about Aaron as you need and want. I\'ve found much healing in writing about my amazing Kala. All the moms here truly care and fall in love with our kids. And only another grieving mom can truly understand this pain. We get it. We live it every day.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers~~
I\"m so sorry for you loss. My 22 year old son Doug was in a fatal car accident over 5 years ago - I still have difficulty accepting it. You\'ve come to the right place for love and support - these women saved my life. Sue xo
I AM SO SORRY for your loss of your son. It has only been 8 months since losing my daughter so I am not going to pretend to have the right words but I will say to you - I understand the heavy heart, the tears that won\'t stop, the deep deep sadness, the gut wrenching sobs --- I am here with you---You have come to the right place. Praying for a moment of peace today. Vicki
Joanne ~ Please accept my sympathy with the loss of your son, Aaron. My heart aches for you....as I know what it feels like to lose a child. It was 5 years into my grief before I found this webite, but the comfort & support here is priceless. I sincerely feel like I have done more healing in 1 year here than the 5 years prior. These moms are genuine & they truly care. If you are up to it, read our journals & look at our photos. This is how we get to know each other & our children. Hugs of compassion.....Vicki ( Jeremy & Chad\'s mom )
Joanne, I am so very sorry for the loss of your son Aaron. My heart breaks whenever I hear of the loss of a child. I believe that it\'s the worst kind of loss in the world.
My son, Jared, passed on October 15, 2009 at the age of 26. I thought my life was over and couldn\'t even imagine living without the physical presence of my son. What I needed was to reach out for the help and support of other bereaved mothers. I needed to know how they managed to move on with their lives and with life in general. Fortunately, after much research my daughter found this group and thought it would be the best for me. She was absolutely right. This FMO group has been a lifesaver for me. The support, encouragement and love I\'ve received from these amazing moms have helped me and continue to help me in my healing of this heartache. Now, almost five years later, I can look back and see how far I\'ve come on this journey,a journey that no one would ever want to be on.
Of importance is to take one moment, one breath, one step at a time. It\'s easier said than done, but for me it was the only way to survive the pain.
Joanne, welcome to our group. I\'m sure you will find the same loving care and support that I found and continue to experience here.
Diane
Dear Joanne: God bless your angel. i also lost my only child Rosalind
Although you do learn to incorporate the loss into your life...there are still times that it takes my breath away that Alex is gone...that I have a child that passed before me. Right now your pain is so raw and it is exhausting grieving...so please be gentle with yourself...love and gentel hugs...Karen
Thank you so much for all the kinds words and comments. I am finding it hard to read about the loss of our beautiful childrenso much sadness, so many tears
It can become overwhelming, i agree...there were times that I felt that I had nothing to contribute...but you see, you do. Your words help us, too. they help me to see how much I have healed (especially when I feel that I have not)--your words will help the next mom understand that she is not alone and not crazy--that these feelings are normal.
Gentle care,
AnnM
Yes we are all on this journey together so we will make it to the new normal, meaning that our hearts are broken but that we can live with the numbness. Our children are with us always and remember to breathe one day at a time.
Hugs, Kathy
