Well ive been on ds for 2 years nearly and today I celebrate four years sobriety
Would you believe this is my first journal. But who said anyone had to rush this stuff
I do feel good today. Not smug or egotistical but ok its a time to refect  a little
For the first two years I just had aa and any meds the doctor had prescribed which was dificult at first but as I started to make friends in aa and get my confidence back life did get better bit by bit
I am enormously gratefull that my now 20 year old daughter and I have a great relationship.Which i could never have dreamt of 4 years ago That is amazing.I have had emotional ups and downs My mum passed away but allthough whilst i had got into recovery coincided with my mum suffering dementia I feel i was able to make some amends by being sober all that time and spending time with her in her last years
Then a couple of years ago I found DS and it has also helped me imensely By learning more about my disease and also the general human condition Sharing in some friends on here there sucsess and troubles Thank you for being here for me
ps My daugter said she'd help me get an avator pic up when she gets back from London so I'm really going for it!
I am truely gratefull Tonyx
